Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
We stayed one night at the Beau Rivage Motel in Old Orchard Beach and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. At first, the room appeared fine, but it quickly became clear that it hadn’t been properly cleaned after the previous guests. The trash cans still contained garbage, used bottles of body wash and a used bar of soap were left in the bathtub, the sink was coated in toothpaste and soap residue, the towels had visible stains, and the bed sheets may have been unwashed (so disgusting!).
The office was open when we first arrived but closed shortly afterward in the evening, leaving us no opportunity to report these issues in person. It was still closed the next morning when we checked out. After returning home, we sent a detailed written message to management outlining the problems and giving them a fair opportunity to respond, but we never received any acknowledgment or reply.
It’s disappointing when a business fails to meet even basic standards of cleanliness or customer service. We hope management takes this feedback seriously so future guests have a better experience than we did.
