This was our second time staying at Casa Do Campo de Sao Francisco. We arrive early, but our room wasn't ready. Felix dis allow us to have breakfast and store our luggage. The room that I booked, wasn't the room that we stayed in, not sure why my room was changed. The food was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. My only complaints are that there was a humming noise every evening thru out the night until the morning. The last night we could hear running water. I wish that visitors who stay at your facility, could learn how to close the front door, without letting it slam. Very annoying when your trying to sleep.

Large, quirky but well appointed room with a mix of modern furnishings and period antiques. Beds could have been better but were useable. Sleeping area seemed a bit damp as it was on the ground floor. The full sized dining table, sofa and spacious bathroom with separate shower closet were nice. Some of the fixtures and finishes in the bathroom were showing their wear and could use a refresh. Shower was hot with good pressure. Drain backed up a little while showering but it did not create a problem. I think because it was small for the volume of water produced by the shower head. The breakfast was good variety and good quality, but not as plentiful as perhaps it could be. Coffee tasted like instant though it was in a thermo pot. The staff were all very kind and helpful. They added warmth to an old and stately property. The large and well appointed living room was a nice area to spend some quiet moments in contemplation or just checking emails using the free WiFi which was good for uploading and posting photos of the beautiful architecture in the surrounding neighborhood.

The hotel is a renovated historic structure. Very beautiful. Expect small rooms ( only 5 in total) and tiny bathrooms. Small hiccup with hot water was addressed in one day. Very small and intimate breakfast area that was very quiet and distinctly different than what you get in large hotels. If you like quiet this is the place.

Happy that we stayed at this property. It was as pictured and advertised. There was a hiccup at check-in, so probably best to contact them with exact flight details to ensure someone is there to receive you. Very charming space, and location worked out great for us. Breakfast is offered, and offering is great and sufficient. Highly recommend.

Casa do Campo de São Francisco is a perfect place to stay in Ponta Delgada. It's location is excellent; close to many restaurants, shopping and the waterfront and a convenient starting point for exploring the island.The hotel is an historic buidling and is beautifully decorated. The rooms are very large with comfortable beds and a sitting area. The breakfast is excellent and cooked by the hotel's friendly host and served in the beautiful dining/ sitting room overlooking the garden. Parking is right in front of the hotel and free after 7pm until 8am (60 cent euro/ hour otherwise). We loved our 4 night stay in this beautiful and unique 5 room hotel. We highly recommend!!

Awesome little boutique hotel in the heart of the

Awesome little boutique hotel built into what looks like a former chapel. Great location in the heart of the City Centre. Within walking distance to everything. Breakfast was very good.. In addition to the fact that hotel is gorgeous what made it even more pleasant was thar there is a really friendly dog there. Named Maria! Which stays outside of course. Recommended.

Very nice place to stay in a unique, old building that was a part of a church. The rooms and bathrooms are newly renovated. It is close to everything and very walkable location. Taxi is 10 Euro from the airport. There is a pleasant park in front to sit out and have a beverage. Good breakfast. And most of all Philippe is the best at the front, very kind and helpful. If I may come back I definitely stay here again.

Right in centre of everything

Stayed during low season early March, very pleased with our stay. Tasty breakfast, eggs cooked to order, fruits, ham, prosciutto, salami, cheeses, coffee freshly made, Keurig, teas, you can lace your beverage with Porto (fortified Portuguese wine). David, the manager, was very kind, always ready to please, let us check out later, let our luggage in the room. That was great.
