Overall, cabin was clean and comfortable, however, there were some areas for improvement. First, check-in was smooth, but it was unclear where exactly the cabin was located by the listing. It's 10 miles away on the other side of Plymouth from the Common Man Inn, just a mile and a half outside of town. The great thing was it was steps away from the Italian Farmhouse, which was excellent! Cabin was great and had a hot tub, which came as a surprise. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable and clean, and the gas fireplace made the living space very cozy. On the negative side, we noticed water bottles throughout the cabin - kitchen, both bathrooms - and came to realize that the water had a strong sulphur smell, so we used the water provided to brush teeth, make coffee. Showering was a little awkward with the smell of the water. The tvs in the living room an the smaller bedroom worked fine, but the one in the main bedroom only got one channel. Finally, we were told we could just leave the key and call the front desk - not have to go back to the main location. However, the phone in the room didn't work, so we ended up going back to the main inn to check out. Again, the space was cozy and generally clean (minus the strong smell of the water) - loved the fireplace and hot tub - and the restaurants at both sites were probably the best in Plymouth. The cabin could use some TLC though.

The room was right by entrance and lobby. I could hear conversations happening outside my door. Way overpriced! Also, my room was not even in the building I was expecting (the Inn) but at a sub standard building called the lodge…was hoping to use hot tub etc but it was all too far from my room…

The advertisement and photographs depict the main inn. Accomodations that are off site are clean and nice but not worth the money being charged. The photographs of the main inn is a bit of bait and switch for off site accommodations. Breakfast is continental.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our two-night girls trip. Our room was in The Lodge building which was great! Coffee, continental breakfast foods and snacks were available 24 hrs in the lobby. Very clean, very nice staff. The inn and spa is 30 seconds down the street, so not inconvenient at all. The spa was beautiful and comfortable, and the staff accommodating. We enjoyed massages and facials, and loved the pool and jacuzzi. We had dinner one night at Foster's restaurant in the Inn. The food was delicious and the staff was great. I will definitely stay at the Common Man again in the future!!

Be careful when booking - we were in the Lodge which is separate to the Inn - down the street and is basically a motel. The place was kind of run down and could use some serious upgrading and TLC. The bathroom door was decaying and the soap dispenser fell off the wall at first use and the door didn’t lock… The staff are very helpful and kind and attentive though and the area in Plymouth is nice… peaceful yet convenient to town and highway:
