This resort exceeded our expectations. The staff was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond for everything. Food was incredible which was a highlight for us! Clean, safe, walking distance to the downtown of Playa del Carmen (lots of other shopping, dining, and beach options).

The hotel is in a very great location however it is not worth the money. The hotel has limited things to do. No entertainment in the evenings and not enough food for guests. They only have 4 restaurants for dinner and the portions are very small. They claim to have 24 hour room service. However, no one answers the phone when you call reception or room service. We ordered room service one night using the tv in our room option and it never showed up. Our last night there there was a power outage in the area. The hotel ran on a generator and our room was located right next to the noise that went on all night and we couldn’t sleep. Our room got cleaned mid afternoon every day some days as late at 4pm. Very disappointed.

Me and my husband booked this resort for our honeymoon. We had a okay time overall, the highlight was probably the pool/ food. Most of the staff were friendly and we felt welcomed. However, we were extremely disappointed when my engagement ring was taken from our room. We let the hotel staff know and the security team was quick to respond. Unfortunately we couldn’t help but feel like nothing was really done and it was more our fault for not locking it in the safe (which didn’t open). The hotel never really took accountability and some of the staff were not very empathetic to our situation and just brushed us off until we left and we didn’t hear anything afterwards. I also requested a report of this to turn into our insurance as proof that the ring was missing, but I never received it or got a clear answer. It was a very sad/disappointing ending our honeymoon.

Clean, well organized, beautiful views, great beach, 1 block from 5th Ave and to top it all off … amazing friendly staff. We’ve been to a LOT of all inclusive from Playa Mujeres down to Tulum and have spent a LOT more $$ at others, and by far for the money this is the best we’ve been to.

Good short week at the Devossion. While they are still working out the kinks since new ownership, overall the stay was enjoyable. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff were super attentive and friendly. Beach is okay given it is public. We were delayed almost 2 days due to weather and our Concierge Aaron ensured we arrived safely at 4am and kept checking on us the rest of the week to ensure we were having a good time. Even got us a late checkout on departure. Food was fresh and above average. Only downsides we noted were the service was slow at the restaurants and some communication issues between staff members. Their no reservations required policy needs to change. If you don’t get to a restaurant before 6pm you could wait up to 2 hours for a table. As well, the pools are not heated so we didn’t use the swim up and only dipped in the main pool when we got hot in the sun. There is no swim up bar but the waitstaff are very good to keep food and drinks coming all day. Depending on price we will likely return. We got a great deal package with flights on Expedia but on its own I would consider the prices a bit expensive.

Service is amazing, and so are the rooms. Beds were not as comfortable as I’m used to. Food is hit and miss. Really close to 5th avenue. If you want quiet this is not the place to go, it’s on a public beach. The ocean smells like sewer, but people still swam in it.
