Nice stay. I've been in many all inclusive hotels ad I reckon that there is room for improvement on the food. The food wasn't bad at all, but in other all inclusive hotels I have found it much better, even in the area of Crete.

I had torn my achilles tendon just before my stay here so accessibility was an issue to some degree. No rooms had ramps or had ground floor accessibility. Other than that, the staff were great, breakfast was fantastic. Lunch was meh, dinner was really nice at the stone restaurant. My family had rented a car so we were a short 20 min drive into old town Chania which was gorgeous.

Generaly, it is a good place to stay. The only problem we found some ants inside the room and we saw one ant in the bed. We reported it to the management, they just sent someone to do further cleaning. I know the hot weather is a good environment for ants but it should not be inside the rooms. They need to treat ants properly to keep them outside the rooms.

Det finns Caldera Beach och Caldera Paradise, de är syskonhotell med samma ägare. Råkade bli fel med resebolaget när vi bokade så att vårt sällskap hamnade på de olika hotellen. Hotellen ligger vägg i vägg, man kan inte nyttja buffén på det andra hotellet, vilket var tråkigt för att vi ville äta tillsammans. Hotellpersonalen var snabbt på att finna en lösning så att hela sällskapet hamnade på samma hotell. Vårt hotellrum var väldigt fint, nytt och fräscht. Buffén var bra och snackbaren likaså. Polerna var många och fanns alltid en som passade någon. Gott om olika aktiviteter som anordnas av hotellen. Gymmet var väldigt dåliga. Väldigt trevligt personal, både i receptionen till de som jobbade i de olika restaurangerna. Stranden var lite stenig men väldigt fin och hyfsat grund. Rekommenderar detta hotellet väldigt mycket!

Huone oli siisti, siivoajat kävivät päivittäin. Muutenkin yleisiä tiloja, allasalueita yms. siivottiin jatkuvasti. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä (esim. henkilökunta kantoi laukut huoneeseen). Aamupala, lounas ja päivällinen olivat monipuolisia ja jokaiselle löytyi jotain. Skandinaaviseen makuun ruokailuajat olivat aika myöhäiset mutta siihen tottui viikon aikana. Ja muihinkin aikoihin sai jotain pienempää purtavaa, jos oli nälkä esim. ennen lounasaikaa/illallista. Hotelli oli täynnä lapsiperheitä pohjoismaista. Nuoria tai aikuisia ilman lapsia vähän. Iltaohjelma aika olematon mutta muuten puuhaa alueella riitti paljon (esim. jooga, padel, minigolf, rantalentis, lasten uimakoulu, pelihuone yms.) Myös pieni melko vaatimaton kuntosali. Hieno ranta aurinkotuoleineen. Allasalueita paljon ja vieressä myös vesipuisto. Pari pientä kauppaa vieressä. Hotellin vastaanoton vieressä päivystää joka päivä autovuokraamo speed wheels, josta auton vuokraaminen helppoa ilman omavastuuta. Chanian vanhaan kaupunkiin taksi maksoi 20-30 eur, lentokentälle n. 50 eur. Uber tms. eivät toimi Chaniassa. Hotellin edestä mahdollisuus lähteä myös tuktuk-junaretkille. Huonetta varatessa kannattaa huomioida, että alue on iso ja esim. aamupalalle ja rantaan vähän matkaa, jos sattuu olemaan alueen toisessa laidassa. Ja jos rappuset tuottaa ongelmia, huolehdi, että huone maan tasolla.

Olimme toista kertaa kyseisessä hotellissa, joten tiesimme mitä odottaa. Hotelli onnistui kuitenkin ylittämään odotukset: 1. palvelu oli parantunut huikeasti etenkin vastaanotossa 2. saimme kahden makuuhuoneen 2-kerroksisen huoneiston, vaikka olimme varanneet yhden makuuhuoneen huoneiston 3. hotelliin oli rakennettu lisää altaita, joten aurinkotuoleja riitti todella hyvin kaikille pitkin päivää

Ruoka oli parempaa, kuin monessa muussa allinclusive paikassa, joissa olemme olleet. Altaat olivat kivoja ja lapset tykkäsivät vesipuistostakin. Huoneet olivat siistejä ja ne siivottiin jokaisena päivänä. Ainoa miinus, että huoneen terassiakin olisi voinut siistiä. Rannalla emme kauheasti käyneet, koska tuuli sen verran, mutta hotellin rantakin oli oikein kiva. Henkilökunta oli oikein mukavaa ja kaikki toimi erinomaisesti.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Caldera Beach. Der Strand direkt vor dem Hotel war einfach super – nur wenige Schritte entfernt. Wir haben es sehr genossen, morgens und abends dort spazieren zu gehen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und empfehlen das Hotel wärmstens weiter.

Abbiamo prenotato uno studio con cucina a Caldera Beach, ma al check-in ci hanno assegnato una camera economy nell'albergo adiacente, a Caldera Creta Paradise. Il giorno dopo abbiamo fatto presente alla reception che quella non era la camera che avevamo prenotato e pagato. La reception ci ha risposto che gli hotel fanno parte dello stesso gruppo e che avendo preso l'all-inclusive hanno ritenuto in autonomia di non riservarci lo studio perché dotato di cucina e quindi non necessaria con l'all-inclusive. Abbiamo quindi iniziato ogni giorno a chiedere che ci venisse assegnata la camera prenotata a Caldera Beach, ma non abbiamo mai avuto alcuna risposta e non abbiamo mai cambiato stanza. La camera assegnata, oltre ad avere un arredo datato, era in disuso da diverso tempo. Oltre a formiche e capelli presenti nel letto e in doccia, la pulizia in generale non era sufficiente. I vetri del balcone erano totalmente sporchi, gli asciugamani non sempre puliti e il materasso poco confortevole. Camera a parte, l'hotel era comunque un buon hotel a 4 stelle. Abbiamo apprezzato la vicinanza al mare, dal quale si accedeva direttamente dalla piscina dell'hotel. La qualità e il servizio di ristorazione erano più che buoni. Vengono forniti asciugamani per la piscina, che però possono essere cambiati ogni 3 giorni. Struttura molto vicina a Platanias, ben collegata con mezzi pubblici. Parcheggi intorno all'hotel sempre disponibili e gratuiti.

Très beau séjour à Caldera beach

Bel hôtel proche de Chania (environ 20 min) avec beaucoup d’équipements pour les enfants. Bon petit déjeuner varié. le water Park est neuf mais petit on a vite fait le tour donc le tarif est un peu excessif. La plage n’est pas top je vous recommande visiter les plages de Balos Beach, Elafonissi, seitan… Je recommande

Attention a l’éloignement de certaines chambres

Le complexe est agréable, avec une belle offre de restauration, une grande piscine bien entretenue, et une animation du soir pour les enfants (mini disco dans l’autre hôtel du groupe) qui a été très appréciée. Il est toutefois important de noter que certaines chambres sont situées à l’écart, de l’autre côté d’une route, à environ 500 mètres des installations principales (restaurants, piscines, plage). Cette information n’apparaît pas clairement lors de la réservation, ce qui peut surprendre, en particulier pour les familles avec enfants. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons souhaité changer de chambre en raison de cette distance, mais notre demande est restée sans réponse malgré plusieurs relances. La réception sur place ne gère pas directement ce type de demande, qui est transmise à un service central difficile à joindre. Le Wi-Fi est également très limité dans cette zone du club : la connexion est instable et ne permet pas un véritable accès à Internet. Par ailleurs, en période de forte affluence, il est difficile de trouver un transat disponible après 8h du matin. En résumé, il s’agit d’un bel établissement, offrant de bonnes prestations, mais il est recommandé de bien se renseigner à l’avance sur l’emplacement des chambres, surtout si la proximité avec les installations principales est un critère important pour vous.
