NOT a pet-friendly hotel. Be prepared for a lockout and interrogation if you have a service dog.
We stayed here for three nights while visiting family. On the second night my wife and I got back to our room at 11:30, but our electronic key didn’t work. So, I left my wife and stuff at the door and went to the front desk. I told the lady there that the key isn’t working for some reason. She looks at the screen and says, “do you have a dog?” I said yes. “Well why didn’t you tell us? This is NOT a pet-friendly hotel” (which was repeated many times during the conversation). I said I’m not required to tell you if I have a service animal, but it stays with us at Marriotts all the time. She then starts questioning me asking what are my health issues related to this dogs service and quickly decides I have a pet that will be charged an additional $120 a night. I said I guess I will just dispute that charge with American Express. Then she says, “I’m getting the manager” and stomps off. She tells the manager I said I will dispute the charge. The manager said I have that right. So she said “then shall I unlock their room?” and I was allowed to go back into my room.
End of story . . . I’ll just leave this right here for you to decide. The experience was so rude.
