Many rooms have been refurbished. Ours was okay, but needed work. The carpet was shabby with stains or burns - the curtain rod and part of the shower were held together with literal tape. The common areas were beautifully decorated and the pool was very nice. Beds were clean and very comfortable.

Check in was very slow, only one staff member on reception and she also had to manage the bar and pool. I was given the room 2 hours early however so that was good. The weather was very hot and I asked if a fan was available for the room but unfortunately no fan was available. Breakfast was excellent. The pool was a nice bonus and Maria on reception was very pleasant.

Breakfast was more accessible Spa and pool area was good and better wi fi than before. Lot better since been refurbished. Windows in room could have been cleaned but otherwise highly recommend for short stay about a week at most.

We have stayed in the Scotland Hotel a few times in the past, amongst other places in Pitlochry. We choose the Scotland because of its close proximity to town and all the amenities, now that my husband can no longer walk up hills. The room we were allocated wasn’t what we requested, but Lori arranged a move the following day, for which we are very thankful. When in our room we love sitting looking at the views over Pitlochry, and that’s why we made the original request. It was a thought to move all our stuff on the second day but well worth it. The room, although a bit smaller than the first, was beautiful, with a tremendous view, no complaints at all. Bigger is not always better. Staff at reception were all so helpful, as were those on breakfast duty. Plenty choice for breakfast. We don’t mind there being no other meals on offer, as plenty of places close by to choose from. God willing we will be back next year for our annual visit.

Great place to stay

Very warm welcome when we arrived. Room was very spacious and very clean. Few table and chairs outside which luckily we were able to use due to the nice weather. At night we sat in a lounge at the front of the hotel which was nice and quiet. Central location for the Heartland Festival. Lots of choice for breakfast. Didn't have time to use the pool but it did look nice.

We asked for a room with a walk in shower but allocated a room with a bath. The room was tired and the furniture was chipped and dated. The toilet seat was loose. We closed the blind for privacy but it could not be reopened. We were not able to get an evening meal unless we attended a sister hotel. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was also good.

For what it cost I wasn't impressed. although the staff were ok, the breakfast was buffet style which was greasy and had hairs in it. we had booked for 4 days of this but ended up with just the 1 due to this. the spa part was such a pain because to book treatments you had to go online to do it which was annoying because we couldn't book what we wanted and you couldn't do it through the reception or call them. at the time of our visit the steam room was out of action the whole time, the rooms although clean and tidy you could get better rooms at a Premier Inn with a tv that worked properly.. Plus they couldn't do evening meal's

Wonderful staff

All the staff are amazing at Scotland Spa Hotel. From the warm welcome at check-in to the cheerful "good afternoon" each morning when my daughter and I arrived for breakfast at 9.30...lovely gentlemen made us laugh. All public areas are spotlessly clean. Freshly decorated too since our last visit in 2023. We were in room 216, twin beds, nice refurbished shower room. We didn't use the Spa facilities bug we did yse the pool. It was lovely. We will definitely stsy again.
