Highly recommend! The unit seems recently remodeled and is nicely furnished and well laid out so it feels spacious. Lots of windows for natural light. There are three actual beds (not sofabeds). It was too cold when we stayed to hang out on the fire escape, but it was handy to be able to step out there and check the weather without leaving the apartment. The kitchen has everything you need for basic cooking, plus free coffee and snacks.
Location is conveniently around the corner from the Penn campus, which we were visiting. There are lots of restaurants within a short walk. It’s about a 10-min walk from the SEPTA trolley hub at 40th Street, where you can catch a train to the Amtrak Station (as we did) or the airport. The bus stop at the corner takes you into Center City. Since this is a student neighborhood, be aware that there can be noise from parties on weekend nights. However, the soundproofing in this unit is remarkably good and we were able to shut out most of the noise from a nearby party. On weeknights the neighborhood was very quiet.
The hosts were extremely helpful and responded quickly to questions and requests. They were flexible with the check-in and check-out times and let us store our bags until check-in time. Everything was super-clean. I would definitely book again if we’re visiting this area.
