This is a magical location, a warm microclimate with year round glorious weather, making it perfect not only for summertime memories but for winter getaways. Safe swimming beach with 180 views from Separation Point to Farewell Spit from the house and bedrooms.

In winter, snuggle down, light the fire and watch the sunrise over the ocean from the comfort of your cosy bed. Spend crisp winter days walking and sightseeing or reading a book.

In Summer, spend endless days at the beach, swimming, exploring and relaxing. Retreating to the house for BBQ lunches and sundowners with a view to die for.

Enjoy our lovely seaside holiday home at Patons Rock, a warm microclimate situated in the beautiful Golden bay. Relax on the deck and enjoy a summer BBQ with friends and family, swimming, kayaking, walking and sightseeing, or light the fire and snuggle up in winter. Our house is so close to the sea you can hear the waves from your bedroom. Beautiful beach safe for swimming, kayaking, walking and fishing. With many other attractions nearby you won’t runout of things to do! Just a few mins up the road you can enjoy, horse trekking, free range eggs and organic vegetables. An idyllic place to rest, relax and unwind.

All three bedrooms have ocean views.

Bedroom 1 King has an ensuite with wardrobe, toilet and shower. This bedroom also has doors opening on to sea facing deck. Sleep with the doors open in summer and dream to the sound of the waves.

Bedroom 2 Queen is large with additional bunk beds and is located at the eastern end of the house also with doors that open onto deck.

Bedroom 3 Twin, x2 single beds and ocean views.

Two kayaks included for guest use.

Fully self contained home. Section is child friendly and fully fenced, so you can relax and enjoy.

Convenient location 10mins to Takaka township and 7mins to Takaka airport. 1.5 hours from Nelson

This is a fantastic beach house. Right on the beach with great outdoor spaces. The house is stylisy, comfortable , cosy and beautifully designed. We all loved staying here and plan to come back. The best house we have stayed in in Golden Bay

Tour guides for American friends

After a five year absence from NZ it was a delight to return with American friends to Golden Bay. This home was a perfect spot to relax and take the time to smell not only the roses in the garden but stroll the beach and look for little treasures that just had to come home with us. I recommend this beautiful home to one and all and can't wait to bring my family here.

Paradise!

We had the best time at this gorgeous place. It's definitely a level up from your normal bach - lots of lovely little touches and luxuries that make this house feel like a real treat. Our little boy was so happy to be so close to the beach and it was so serene looking out at the water from the windows. A real sense of pride has been taken in the crafting of this house, and the location is an absolute winner too.

Very pleasant stay

The location and the house we know well, seen it many times, it was a great 3 days, A Lucky break before the school holiday crowd arrives, and just not long enough stay, The facilities are great, A sunny Sunday in the PM and a perfect calm morning on check out, the 11am check out is very good, that extra hour makes a difference to waking up and chasing around.

Unbeatable spot in a beautiful Bach. We've stayed at many places in Golden Bay and this is our favourite. Can't beat the location and the house is super comfortable and has everything you need! Really comfy beds and nice linen which you don't often get in a Bach! The whole family loved it and we'll be back! Thank you!
