I did not recieve conformation of any booking for this motel and managed a last minute booking at another. Then found the deduction to my account for the Apollo when I returned home.

Clean, tidy, great shower, nice amenities, comfy beds. Couldn't get the TV to work, but didn’t really need it. Fridge motor kicked in big-time at 1am and woke us all up, but very happy otherwise. 😁

The room was very spacious but thats where the good parts end. There was mould on the ceiling and along the bottom of the curtains, there was rat traps under the beds and overall the room felt very dirty. The bedding was clean and the beds were comfortable but given the discovery of the traps and mould we didnt enjoy our stay. We also had to call the police due to prowlers casing the motel on our last night and i get the feeling that this is a common occurance. The staff were lovely and kind but if we were able to getva refund and move our stay, we would have. Fyi, internet on the tv didnt work either.

The rooms were absolutely spotless. I started chatting to one of the staff who was cleaning (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name but she has three children and moved from a farm in the outback). She spoke highly of her employers and I always think that’s great. The weeds around the pool did detract from the motel’s appeal though.

The carpets were incredibly stained, the pool only had filthy rain water in it, amenities were essentially non existent. I realise it's a budget property, but at the same time I don't want to feel as though I can't take off my shoes inside and a smart tv should basically be a given in 2025
