The place is nice and has an amazing rooftop bar and restaurant. We stayed one night after coming back from bora bora. Most people go to the airport hotels but I wanted a small night life.

Polynesian Cabins by Kon Tiki is very clean, well organised and a great concept. Shared bathrooms were very clean, the bed was comfy and check in by staff at around 3:30am was quick and painless - so much better than trying to navigate a self-check in at that time. Rooms are small and have no windows but as they are clean with a great bed, I had everything I needed. Would recommend.

The staff is wonderful!! Probably the most welcoming hotel I've ever stayed in. No complaints whatsoever. Comfortable cabins, economical with everything you need for a good night's sleep in a minimalist space. Breezy outdoor patio/lounge for when you want to spread out. Check out the artwork on the walls, the indoor fountains, the green walls. Walking distance to all downtown facilities & attractions. Didn't eat at any of their facilities, can't offer an opinion.

Excellent. Well appointed cabins that are perfect for a short stay if you are in between flights. They are new, very comfortable mattresses and everything you could need although very small. Comfortable for one person, probably a little cramped for 2 plus luggage.. Bathrooms good and lounge area with coffee machine 😊

Polynesian Cabins by Kon Tiki provided everything I was looking for in an accommodation on Tahiti Island: luggage storage pending my check-in; a small, safe place to sleep & store my luggage during my stay; a location convenient to town, the ferries, & the roulottes; dining & bar facilities; assistance with arranging any excursions; English speaking staff; and all at a reasonable price. Kon Tiki came through for me in every way! A special shout-out to the ladies who staff the tour/excursions desk in the lobby: they took time to understand what I was looking for in tours, they were highly competent, well informed and connected with the available tour companies, eager to assist, pleasant, thorough, accurate, and helpful in every way - in short, THE BEST of the best! If I'm ever in Papeete again, this is where I'll stay. I highly recommend the Polynesian Cabins by Kon Tiki - a very comfortable, welcoming place to call home while visiting Tahiti. Look no further!
The rooms are compact, but can accommodate two plus some well-organized luggage.
The beds are SO comfortable. The TV is arranged for viewing while you are resting.
Excellent coffee shop adjacent to the lobby. Good food, and beverages, upscale environment, snack or a meal at breakfast or mid-day.
Reeftop bar on the rooftop provided a lively ambiance and an outstanding view of Moorea at sunset,

I stayed 2 nights in the Kon Tiki Hotel's first floor small cabins: one night on arrival to French Polynesia from the USA, and the other the night before I left. Excellent stays both times. Clean comfortable rooms, convenient location for access to all that's in Papeete and to all the ferry services right across the street that go to many other islands. On both stays, the front desk staff was very friendly, efficient, and helpful - especially in allowing me to store luggage before my check-in time, and making my room available to me just as soon as a clean room was available. There's an excellent coffee shop on ground level where the service is equally good, and it's open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. There's also a lively rooftop open-air bar with a wonderful view over Papeete harbor looking toward Moorea that stays open late and is quite popular. A special shout-out to the young ladies at the front desk who can provide comprehensive information about tours, and work miracles to book any such tours and events. They helped me get an incredible last-minute tour of the Papeno'o Valley on Tahiti Nui, which turned out to be the best day of a totally wonderful trip to French Polynesia. They were also able to identify available options for me to see a Tahitian Dance Show with buffet, and once I had selected the show at the Intercontinental they booked my reservation there as well. The Kon Tiki charges a fair price, and I highly recommend them for a convenient & comfortable stay in Papeete!

The cabins are VERY small, but the loft bed was very comfortable. Shared bathrooms were clean, but very hot. Was grateful for a/c in our cabin. It was fine for one night, but wouldn’t do it again.

We spent several hours here to wait for our late night flight back to LA after coming back from Bora Bora. Nice place to take a shower and rest instead of spending many hrs at Tahiti airport.

Great hotel near the cruise port, 6 minute walk. Very small rooms but the place was clean and they have a cafe on the ground floor and a restaurant and a panoramic bar on the 8th floor. For one night, I highly recommend. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

Le lit est confortable, les draps agréables. C’est bien propre. L’inconvénient que nous voyons, si le lit est placé en haut, c’est la difficulté pour y accéder. Les échelons sont très espacés, et il faut prendre beaucoup de précaution pour grimper. Ce n’est pas pour des personnes âgées ou en surpoids.

It was basically an upscale hostel. We were fine, and it was pretty clean and safe. Just a matchbox sized room only big enough for the bed, a desk and a tiny place to stand. Restrooms and showers are communal and around the corner, and there was a common area. $79 for 2 people was great for one night.
