Accommodation In Pangkor Island

One of the most enchanting islands in Malaysia - Pangkor - is situated on the Western coast of the Malaysian peninsular, only 40 minutes by ferry from Lumut. In contrast to the hustle and bustle of city life, Pangkor remains peaceful and a truly idyllic island with beautiful golden beaches and crystal blue waters.

Our Pangkor beach resorts provide you with the perfect accommodation while you stay on this charming island. Pangkor’s history in days gone by has been a story of the sea, a welcome refuge for sea travellers, pirates and merchants who sailed through the Straits of Malacca. Pangkor's idyllic bays made it the perfect stopover. You will be charmed by the traditional fishing villages and small towns. While you are relaxing on the golden sands watch the fishing boats head out to catch cuttlefish and anchovy. The crystal waters and surrounding islands are perfect for water sports such as swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing and kayaking.

If you feel like moving away from relaxing at the beach, then there are many activities for you to do. Visit Fu Lin Kong Taoist Chinese temple and see a mini Great Wall of China and also visit the Indian temple of Kali Amman. South of Pagkor town you’ll see the ruins of the Dutch Fort, built in 1670 and used as a strong hold against the pirates by the Dutch East India Company. On the East side of the island visit the fishing villages - with some houses built on stilts - and view the traditional fishing lifestyle that is still a way of life in our modern world, and sample and enjoy great food at the local stalls. Look out for exotic flora and fauna at Pangkor Forest Reserve; butterflies, monkeys swinging from branches and vibrant coloured birds perched in trees. There is an excellent trail to hike up to the summit of Pangkor Hill or to Tortoise Hill which overlooks Tortoise Bay.

Make sure that you include time at one of the most beautiful coves - Emerald Bay - with its white sand, lush rainforests and emerald waters. Tropical paradise! End your day of sunbathing and swimming with dinner whilst you watch the sun set over the glistening waters of the Straits of Malacca.
