VRBO almost ruined my time in Casco Viejo, Panama City
VRBO did a complete bait and switch on me when it came to my accommodations. I was literally on the plane on the runway in Miami to fly to Panama City when I got a text that they canceled my reservation but would put me elsewhere, but I had limited time to pay again and register my verification. I wound up at the tour of a property with no host and no live person to talk to because, the stupid AI chat Bot was The only available means of “communication“. But for my driver, I nearly went back to the airport flew home.I had to climb eight flights of stairs to get to the unit (I’m in the midst of treatment for cancer). The unit was hot and had no instructions on the ventilation. Best of all? I was literally a top a techno music club that blared until two in the morning.Completely unsatisfactory. I doubt I’ll ever use this “service” again. But understand that I will go back to Panama City in a heartbeat; it is a wonderful place!

The area can feel a little sketchy at night, but at no time did I feel uncomfortable walking alone
