It does not clearly mention that this hotel is lobby-less, means everything is online and you receive the entrance code by text message. But just in case, if you have an international phone on you, you will probably not able to get the message which includes your key number to access to your room. There is no security at any time and at night you are on your own. Its is not hard to access the hotel area, if something happens, someone follows you. Like I said you are on your own. Hotel is generally low maintenance, they did something good in the beginning and than left it to by itself. Walls are extremely thin, I woke up to next doors shower sound at 7 a.m. Sunday morning, you hear every single detail. That is why they leave you a soft earplug, actually two... so you can have a nice sleep. Which is unfortunate that the time I woke up to next doors shower sound, I already had my earplugs on...

Not the best for a business traveler

Stayed for a business trip to Palm Springs. It's a cute motel conversion, with clean, spacious rooms, comfy beds, and a great shower. Unfortunately, the experience of staying was let down by the hotel's system for managing guests on site and the check-in/out process. There is no one at reception between 8 PM and 8 AM, which is pretty ridiculous, and if you are like me and trying to check in or out in this window, you have to do everything online. That wouldn't be a problem, but I had booked several rooms for colleagues, so I ended up having to call the hotel to get everyone sent check-in links, then had to do the online check-in and while it only took 10-15 minutes to deal with, I was in Palm Springs on a really challenging work project, and taking that time out of my day just added to my stress. Since I had to leave the hotel before 8 AM, I needed to do online checkout, and the link they sent didn't work, so I had to text with the hotel about it, again taking time out of my busy day. I also asked for a receipt, which never came. Hotel charges $15 for parking, which is essentially a cramped, exposed space along the street-- pretty insulting to have to pay for that on top of the room charge, as my car may as well have been parked on the street. I also wonder what would have happened if I ran into an issue trying to get into my room with the code provided, with no one on site to support. I stay at a hotel for convenience for business, and The Cole did not deliver.

Although we enjoy staying here, there are some pretty big issues for the cost and we likely won't stay again. The first time we stayed, there was a power outage in the evening, which took hours to pr our room lacked the basics, which we had to request. This time we requested cleaning several times, and despite staying 8 days, our room was only cleaned once. We had to go grab our own coffee, towels and cupson a couple of occasions. Despite having cupboards a sink and a microwave, they don't provide real glasses, playes or cutlery (or paper towel and dish soap), so we had to buy our own. No sponge or dishcloth, despite being a "kitchenette. The fridge froze our food. The TV remote's battery was dead and our toilet became plugged and no one was onsite to fix it. The gentleman i spoke to was apologetic and gave us the use of a bathroom in an empty room, but we just felt the whole experience was a bit inconvenient from start to finish. The staff is friendly and kind and I am sure they do their best, but it would be much better to have a policy of cleaning rooms every three days as a default on longer stays and how much would it really cost to give more than 2 coffee pods a day, or to have a couple plates and glasses in each room? It felt like we were always ask8ng for the basics the entire stay...

A property just outside the busy downtown. The king suite room was very spacious, with a king sofa bed-not used by us- and two TVs. The pool area is gorgeous as is the hot tub. While they don’t have a front desk, the whole process was smooth. We were disappointed the French restaurant and the bar opened at 5pm. Earlier would have been nice. Overall we highly recommend the Cole!

This place has a great MCM vibe but that’s about it. Located at the very start of the PS main drag its too far to walk to any bars, shops, restaurants. Our room was in desperate need of paint and the bedding was a sheet set and thin duvet which left us needing to run the noisy wall heater all night, constantly interrupting our sleep. No guest services on site before/after 8pm which is a bummer. I usually love a boutique hotel but this one not so much. I’d say for the price you can choose a better location with better amenities.

Spacious, clean rooms in a motel config, so that it's an Adults Only property is a plus. Beds and pillows are super comfy! Very good French restaurant shares site that serves dinner only.

I don’t remember exactly how many times I’ve stayed at The Cole of the top of my head…but what I do remember is that I have loved every single time I’ve stayed at The Cole. OK, don’t get me wrong. There are some classic Palm Springs hotels that are icons and divas all on their own, but as far as modern world class amenities, that are new, clean and done with the touch of sophistication… There’s no comparison to The Cole. This property is simply a cut above the rest of them. Easy parking, secure access, self check-in these are just a few of the highlights before you even enter your room. And whoa, what a delight that will be. New, sleek, functional living, working, sleeping and fun areas are the norm in every room here at the Cole. I truely love this paradise in the palm desert. Well maintained and very neatly decorated in the mid century modern style. Noise travels fairly easily from room to room however and I was taken aback that parking isn’t free for guests. It’s fairly standard to offer free onsite parking and to charge $15 a night for guests to park seemed outrageous.
