Outdated hotel. Room smelled damp and unhealthy. Carpet in room was wet in some places. Hallways dingy. Sorely in need of renovation, but aside from that, who wants to risk respiratory illnesses ? Had booked for a week but checked out after one evening. Extremely disappointed.

Thought we could get in a little early and the front desk gal said it would be an additional $35. I said how early am I? and she said 30 minutes. There was nobody in the parking lot so not jam packed. I was very disappointed. Have stayed there before and like the location and price.

Room was very dirty and we got a different one. Still was dirty. The breakfast was gross. And the bathrooms were really rusty. The cost for the amenities were wildly high for very little quality. Staff was nice tho

The staff was good. The door to our room was jammed. We had to do the key over and over again and then almost kicked the door in to get it open. Sometimes, if there wasn’t someone in the room, it was impossible to open the door from the outside. Also, the lighting was extremely poor. We had to keep turning on the flashlight of our phones to see what we needed. Thank heavens, we have flashlights on our phones! Even when we would go out the back door, when it closed, it would not completely shut, which means we were not secure and the building. Overall, it felt like an old building that really needed sprucing up. I have stayed in other La Quinta motels and ones that are similar, and this wasn’t all-time low. We came for a wedding. Others were staying and upscale hotels. We decided to save money, not knowing that we felt like we were staying in a dump.

While the staff tried to assessthe issues, even bringing a handyman to replace a piece on the toilet to help it flush it in the end still did not work nor flushed as it should.The hotel itself has a lot to improve/renovate.It has great potential since its location is prime, next to excellent restaurants and shops just a short walk away. However, the toilet was broken, doors were damaged, and the elevator, which serves just three floors, seems like it's coming from the 20th floor (it takes foreve to get to your room because of the elevator).Breakfast could be much better as the powder eggs are mushy, and there are no milk options for anyone who NEEDS a substitute of almond or oat milk, as many cannot have regular milk or dairy. Boiled eggs were a nice touch, since, as I mentioned, powdered eggs are never a good choice for those who cannot have sugar. The breakfast quality needs improvement but lovely server . Parking isn't safe, and you will see posted signs that if your car is broken into while at the hotel, they are not responsible. That is unfair, as we are paying for a safe lodging.Also, the balcony view was very dirty and gross. La Quinta needs to improve in many ways if they want to justify charging just short of $200 a night. I feel I shouldn't have even been charged, as what I paid for was not provided. I mentioned to the front desk that we had to go out to use the restroom because the toilet wasn’t flushing right. SMH. My stay should be refunded, to say the least.
This was the room they moved me to and it was the worst as toilet did not flush right. Left next day.

Room was clean. A little worn but it was fine. Great price though. Nice hotel in a nice area. The bed was not comfortable but that’s probably just me. I almost never find hotel beds comfortable. Outside was nicely landscaped. Plenty of parking. Very nice person at counter for check-in. Breakfast was ok. The best part was the waffle station. They were out of juices. Only option for drink was lemonade. Overall it was a good stay in an expensive area.
