Holiday in Paignton

Good location, short walk from town centre and opposite the pier. On the negative, no fried or poached eggs available at breakfast, just scrambled and also no tomatoes. Also, no hot food available after five pm.

Check in was quick and easy, room was fine but i wasn't advised on check-in it was an accessible room but other than that stay was fine. Small point but it would be nice to have more than 2 teabags !

We used the Ibis for a mini weekend break. The hotel was in a good location to all amenities. Rooms were comfortable and clean (would have loved a fridge) and quiet. Our room was located to the back of the hotel. We did not try the breakfast but ordered a few beers in the evening. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Nice convenient hotel. Abit pricy on the parking charges and limited amount of parking spaces. Room ok. Booked to stay with a dog. Said on website you would get dog bowls in the room. Nothing supplied. Breakfast is ok, food is hot. Nice choices.

Really enjoyed our stay here….really clean great view from our window and great location …. HOWEVER the only down side was the electric car charging. I’d drove 250miles and just made it. Only to find the bays are unmarked so anyone can park there, and I can’t blame them for doing so as you would never know. The spaces were always taken by non electric cars and when I raised this with reception she said there’s nothing she can do which really wasn’t helpful at all. Why have the electric charging if anyone can just park there it defeats the object. And really caused a nuisance because then with be ry little charge and late at night I had to drive around and try to find somewhere to charge the car which really ruined the first night for us.

Very pleasant stay. The staff were helpful and efficient. We could have done with more tea/coffee/milk sachets and another extra pillow but otherwise everything was lovely.

When we checked in to room we found 2 pairs of ladies dirty underwear in the bed side cabinet The room was very basic no fridge for my medicine! One chair in the room! No no sauna as advertised which hasn’t been working for months. The only reason we went in hotel because of all the extra facilities. I complained to the front desk on three different occasions they all promised me they would make notes and let the management know. Hope nobody did surprise. One of the staff said to method hotel is the basic of the basic but the price was very expensive. Would never stay in an Ibis hotel again. We’ve stayed in the Mercure hotel next door, which was excellent ! Breakfast in the hotel was very basic not much on display. Staff looks very scruffy. This was a very poor decision to stay in Ibis Hotel Expedia website said the hotel was excellent, but they need to read what they put on there because it doesn’t work

Modern hotel right in sea front

Modern hotel with air con in rooms- Poor bathroom design, use the shower and the entire floor gets wet. Curtains let lot of light in at the sides, tv remote was complex. Decent breakfast thou and the location directly on the sea front can’t be beaten!

My partner and I stayed last night and noticed the bathroom was dirty and clearly showed that it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. As for the breakfast there was no hash brown, tomatoes or even fried eggs with the continental, not much cereal or fruit to choose from either. In the room it was cold due to the air conditioning which we turned off a few times but it kept turning itself back on.

First time away with my partner on holiday for one night, the rooms were wonderful, nice spacious area and comfy beds. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Just wished the check in was before 3pm but overall wonderful hotel to stay in for a night away or two. Definitely coming back again.

Great views.

Beautiful sea front room with incredible views! Clean and fresh and stylish room. TV. was very annoying. The volume is set on a volume so low we could hardly hear it. We should have complained of course, but we're only there for 2 nights. Lovely looking hotel all in all. We would stay here again.
