Our new Cornish Beach Base lodge is a roomy 20 x 40 feet and is finished to a high specification.
There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one an ensuite), a walk in wardrobe and a large open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. The lounge has two sofas, 4G wifi, a television and a DVD player. The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob and fridge/freezer.
It is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area and it offers a comfortable and quite retreat after the day's activities.
The lodge is in a quiet part of St. Merryn Park within which there is a shop, bar, restaurant, childrens' playground and tennis courts.
Beach Base Lodge is situated very close to St. Merryn village (0.5 miles), which has a shop, petrol station, several top class restaurants and a couple of great pubs - the Cornish Arms and the Farmer's Arms.
A little further away (2.5-4 miles) are the magnificant Seven Bays - Porthcothan Bay; Treyarnon Bay; Constantine Bay; Booby's Bay; Mother Ivey's Bay; Harlyn Bay; Trevone Bay. All of these bays, depending on the conditions, offer good surfing and chances for other watersports. Or you can just relax on the beach taking in the beautiful surroundings.
The picturesque Cornish fishing village of Padstow is just under 4 miles away. It boasts plenty of places to eat and drink, art galleries featuring local artists and of course Rick Stein's seafood deli and restaurant.
Newquay is around 10 miles away with its world class surfing beaches and the A30, that traverses Cornwall is around 8 miles away allowing anybody staying at our lodge the chance to see more of Cornwall.
