Renovations going on so there were some times of no hot water and loud drilling. Asked for an extra mattress topper as husbands bed didn’t have one. After 5 days I gave up. Charge to empty the mini bar!

We had booked KING bed with extra bed for 3 people. they initially, gave me king bed but said to get extra bed i have to move to family room and then gave us 3 TWIN beds. Wife, my child and i all slept on TWIN bed separately. They have COT available but in some rooms only and refuse to move it room with king bed though room size and configuration is identical.

I booked a double bed and ended up in a room with 3 single beds. The mattress was sliding from the frame and so the mattress cover. You have to get up in the middle of the night and push the mattress otherwise you would fall off the bed. The third looks like a grubby box with some bedding on it. A round table too big for the room. To get anywhere near the window you would have to remove a big armchair and the table. I was asked to go to the reception in the morning to change the room and every time the same conversation. Come back around 4 pm or 5. The following the same thing. I caught a staff rolling her eyes when asked for some milk. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place. I stayed in better motels along the trans Canada for 50 dólar a night. They kept say there wasn’t any available room with a double bed but if I was willing to pay 300 Kron I could changed right away. The hotel sells a standard of service they are not capable of providing. Avoid at any costs.

Fantastic breakfast and we loved the dedicated gluten free area. Our room with a fjord view was wonderful and the bed was so comfortable. The only downside was being next to the lifts, which were a little bit noisy going up and down outside our wall. We did get used to it though. The staff were all so helpful and friendly too. It would have been nice to have more options at The Top. We didn’t eat there as there didn’t seem to be much on the menu.

Big hotel, breakfast was very busy. Good central location near shopping and very easy for trains to/from airport. Oslo is very walkable. Gym was amazing, right at the top with spectacular views.
