Great room in an old but cute and refurbished farm house. Friendly service. Very clean. Only thing unexpected was the lack of toilet or shower in room; there was a community room of them down the hall. Breakfast was good too.

Beautiful authentic hotel. Room was small, but very cosy. Great view of the sea and passing boats. Big tv and very comfy overall. Bathroom was roomy and great shower. Food was fabulous too!

Very glad we came!
Traveling through Norway but unfamiliar with the region, we chose Hovdegård because it looked and sounded so nice. We spent a little extra for it but we're enticed by the romantic feel. We were not disappointed, however when choosing "double bed" in this country does not guarantee you'll have 1 full sized bed. Our room had 2 twin beds. Still a spacious, we'll appointed room, with a large window and modern, private bathroom.
Our room was 1 floor up the spiral staircase.
An amoire served as a closet.
Lovely center square.
