Stayed 1 night at the Royal Hotel. Very convenient location just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Ross on Wye. Lovely hotel with easy check in. We had a spacious double room which was clean and had all the amenities you needed. The staff are lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Nice bar area and the food is very good( superb breakfast) Highly recommend this hotel.

The first thing you notice is easy parking. It's a breeze. Probabley more important is the staff. They are all very cheerful and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Next the food. We intended to eat out but the food here is so good, cooked to order and served onhot plates, you don't get that everywhere. The dinners the same. Good menu and served with a smile. What is not to like about this Hotel? Nothing! We do not usualy give glowing reviews but this Hotel ranks among the best we have stayed in and that includes London to Las Vegas an that is no exaggeration.

Lovely old building with creaky floors and plenty of character. Basic rooms but clean and comfy. Well stocked bar, good food served by friendly staff. The parking is a bit tight for bigger cars.

The hotel is ideally situated for the Wye Valley with great views. We had a great room which had plenty of space including a sofa, clean, great facilities and well serviced. The breakfast was really good with a great choice and the breakfast staff were really welcoming and friendly. Also the hotel had good quality pub food at a reasonable cost. We look forward to staying again.

A Royal Gem

From the minute we arrived the staff were so friendly, efficient, always on hand. Parking was fine, our clean Superior room gave us spectacular views over the wonderful countryside and River Wye, as a listed building you take on the decor. Ross is a great central spot for travelling around.

Welcoming, comfortable and with good food.

We felt very welcome here. The hotel is well staffed and our room was comfortable and clean. We ate breakfast and evening meal here, both were good. Hotel occupies a great position in the town overlooking the Wye valley. The town centre is a very short walk. Parking is tight but adequate. A USB or 13A socket either side of the bed would have been useful.

Great stay in the Royal hotel

Great Location we had room 27 which was the top floor and a fabulous view of the river. My husband had breakfast and recommended it highly , the quality of the food was excellent and the staff couldn’t do enough for you highly recommended and would stay there again ross and why and nearby towns are just very beautiful and interesting

The views from my bedroom window were amazing. And the superior room I had was massive and very comfortable. Dinner was delicious with a pie to die for. A well kept terrace taking in those views across the Wye valley again. Nice easy car park and lovely staff. Special mention must go to the lady at breakfast who was utterly perfect. She could not possibly have been more helpful - her service and attitude were brilliant. Thanks for a lovely day stay.
