DO NOT STAY HERE

When I checked in there was a large dehumidifier in the kitchen because of an apparent water leak and it remained there for the duration of my stay. I contacted the host and received very little information other than a general apology. The machine was so loud that I couldn’t talk on the phone inside the unit. At one point, a worker came into the room and “checked the moisture” but didn’t say anything else and left the machine running and in the way. Later that afternoon I returned from the conference I was attending to find the door to the unit open and unlocked (with all my valuables inside). I have no clue how long it was left open for virtually anyone to just walk in and steal my belongings. I felt unsafe during my stay because of this and the communication was terrible with the host contacts provided. I have demanded a refund as the unit was depicted on this site as being nice, clean, and safe however it was anything but that. The fact that the host never reached out prior to my stay to inform me of the water damage and ongoing work is unacceptable because I definitely would have stayed somewhere else. This was a nightmare situation and I’m just glad that I didn’t have the rest of my family with me because it would have been even worse dealing with the huge noisy machine and cords everywhere. The pics are self explanatory. DO NOT STAY HERE.
