Beautiful view of Oran

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at this hotel and it's our favorite place to stay in Oran. Beautiful view of the city and the sea. The staff is very friendly and always makes us feel welcomed.

Charme el Cheikh - not so charming

The best part about this hotel was the location. It was located on a busy road in the city centre, and walking distance from most sites of interest. The hotel itself was old and tired. Staff speak almost no English. Rooms are ok, decent sized. Bathroom was not great. There was no in-room safe. Breakfast was shocking, stale pastries and terrible coffee, but that seems to be common in Algeria. Also the time they indicate breakfast starting may not necessarily be the time it actually starts. The hotel provides a free airport shuttle. However, even though ypu may indicate a time and they agree to it, they will still wait for the shuttle to fill no matter how much time that takes, and will not communicate any time changes to you. It is probably better to give them a time earlier than what you need.

A Hotel with a view

My husband and I stayed here for four nights and we loved it. Our room had a private balcony with a beautiful view of the city and the sea. The hotel staff was very friendly and made our stay the best. We highly recommend this hotel and we definitely will stay here again.

Clean and comfortable hotel in the centre

Very comfortable hotel with nice, helpful staff (although limited English). Good wi-fi. Spacious room, comfortable beds and well-equipped bathroom. Rich breakfast. Complimentary airport shuttle. Located near the centre (5-10 mins walk), but on a main street full of rather dodgy shops.

Pour faire suite Ć  ma rĆ©servation (21 au 23 mars 2017)effectuĆ©e en ligne par le biais du site hotel.com, je tiens Ć  mentionner qu'Ć  mon arrivĆ©Ć© l'hotel Ć©tait complet, j'avais pourtant rĆ©servĆ©, rĆ©glĆ© la facture et j'avais une confirmation. Charm El Cheick dans le quartier populaire de la Ville Nouvelle qui n'a que le nom, m'a drigĆ© vers un autre hotel (Hotel Jasmine) de confort infĆ©rieur, propre avec un directeur trĆØs agrĆ©able qui m'a trĆØs bien reƧu. Le problĆØme auquel j'ai Ć©tĆ© et je suis tjs confrontĆ© est que j'ai payĆ© une facture d'un montant 2 fois plus important par rapport au prix de la nuitĆ© Ć  l'hotel ou j'ai Ć©tĆ© hĆ©bergĆ©. La diffĆ©rence Ć©tant plus du double et le niveau de l'hotel n'Ć©tant pas le mĆŖme, j'ai souhaitĆ© ĆŖtre remboursĆ© de cette diffĆ©rence. Je me suis rendu Ć  l'hotel Charm El Cheick qui ne pouvait rien faire puisque ce ne sont pas eux qui ont encaissĆ© mon paiement mais l'agence de voyage ACC basĆ©e Ć  Alger. J'ai quand mĆŖme rĆ©ussi Ć  avoir une chambre pour la seconde nuit. Cependant le montant de la facture n'Ć©tait pas au niveau de l'hotel et Ć  sa situation gĆ©ographique. Cela m'a Ć©tĆ© confirmĆ© en discutant avec d'autres clients (des locaux). C'est en allant diner Ć  l'hotel IBIS Les Falaises que j'ai vraiment compris car c'Ć©tait le mĆŖme tarif par nuit (8400 dinars) en cette pĆ©riode d'affluence ou se tenait un salon Ć  Oran (NAPEC). Mais bon ce n'est vraiment pas le mĆŖme standing. Je me suis vraiment fait avoir sur cette rĆ©servation.
