in a unique feel-good atmosphere you will find in our quiet and spacious apartments with stunning views of the Untersee. Visible truss, mud walls with earth tones of natural pigments, antique furniture with exquisite detailing and hand-painted Art pictures by the owner give a special feeling of warmth and comfort - cottage idyll.

You can enjoy the great view of the lake sitting in an comfortable armchair with the Swiss lakeside in the background, cook a nice meal in our high equipped quality kitchen or simply enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace in the evening sun.

Our cottage is located on the beautiful peninsula of the Höri at the Untersee. The Höri impresses with the perfect blend of art, culture and nature with spectacular views over the lake towards the Swiss mountains or Reichenau. There are endless opportunities for relaxation and excursions. Directly outside the house is the Constance Cycle Path or a small beach just 150 meters away, ideal for swimming and games. In the neighboring village you can also rent a small boat or canoe and spend a few hours on the lake. Ferries and excursionboats go on a regular basis to Reichenau, Konstanz or Schaffhausen, they also offer day trips to the island Meinau, Konstanz or Überlingen. The pretty town of Stein am Rhein with its painted facades is certainly worth a visit. Above the house, the Schienerberg extends with its great hiking paradise. The largest waterfall in Europe in Schaffhausen can be reached in just 20 minutes. The ruins Hohentwiel in Hegau, one of the largest fortress ruins in Germany is with children always an experience.

Kattenhorn - Roy & Marika Botterell

A wonderful and spacious apartment with stunning views of the lake. Self contained with more than enough space to accommodate 4 people comfortably during your stay. Small villages and amenities are all within 10-15 minute walking distance. Stein am Rhein only 40 minute walk but well worth the journey along the lake side with the added bonus of the Castle restaurant which although not cheap, its again worth the experience. Highly recommended place to stay with Roy & Marika as it has the family feel and nice homely touches which are sadly not present in a lot of other German properties.

Unser Aufenthalt war wunderbar. Es hat alles perfekt gepasst. Das Haus der Familie Botterell ist ein richtiges Wohlfühlhaus mit einer sehr guten Atmosphäre. Die Terrasse perfekt zum Sonnenbaden und als Essplatz geeignet. Der Standort optimal als Ausgangspunkt für Entdeckungen und Ausflüge, aber ebenso zum Verweilen mit einem kleinen Badestrand. Vielen Dank an Familie Botterell für diesen schönen und erholsamen Ort.

Entspannung am Bodensee

Den Titel "Wohlfühl-Appartment" trägt diese Unterkunft zu Recht, denn wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt, weil alles perfekt war. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, wobei der Charakter des alten Bauerhauses durch die Verwendung antiker Möbelstücke betont wird aber auch moderne Elemente/Geräte z.B. in Küche und Bad, den Wohnkomfort gewährleisten. Wer die totale Ruhe sucht und den Sternenhimmel mal bei richtiger Dunkelheit beobachten möchte, wird hier begeistert sein. Toll fanden wir auch, dass eine ausführliche Informationsmappe und aktuelle Prospekte mit Empfehlungen für Ausflüge und Aktivitäten bereitlagen. Die Eigentümer waren jederzeit erreichbar, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Fazit, uneingeschränkte Empfehlung wenn man Ruhe und Komfort sucht. Noch ein Tipp, unbedingt die Roaming Funktion am Handy deaktivieren, da das schweizer Mobilfunknetz hier sehr nah ist, das kann sonst sehr teuer werden. PS: Ein stabiles kostenloses W-LAN ist natürlich in der Unterkunft vorhanden. Astrid & Bernd aus Mainz

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung in bester Lage

Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem historischen Fachwerkhaus. Das gesamte Objekt wurde liebe- und geschmackvoll renoviert. Wir hatten die untere von zwei Wohnungen, die toll und umfassend ausgestattet war. Sehr gut geeignet für 4 Personen, schöner Sitzbereich draußen mit Seeblick. 5 Sterne deluxe.

Als sehr positiv haben wir empfunden die gute Küchenausstattung, helle und großzügige Räume, schöne Details (wie Fenster im Flur), gute Betten, eigener Parkplatz, freundliche Vermieter, man sieht an vielen Details des schön sarnierten und renovierten ehemaligen Bauernhauses, die Gedanken und Aufwendungen, die sich die Eigentümer gemacht haben. Die Lage, direkt am See in dem pittoresken Örtschen ist ideal für Ausflüge rund um den Bodensee. Da wir vorwiegend zu Hause gekocht haben, wäre ggf. eine zweite Restmülltonne gut, ging aber auch so (Komost im Garten). Insgesamt mehr als empfehlenswert.

Super tolle Ferienwohnung, sehr geschmack- und stilvoll eingerichtet, angenehmes Raumklima -einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Die Küche war für unsere Bedürfnisse komplett eingerichtet. Die Terrasse ist ab mittags sonnig, mit Schirm, Tisch mit Stühlen und Liegen ausgestattet. Der Blick auf den See sehr schön. In der Wohnung sind wichtige Adressen (Ärzte, Apotheken usw.), einige Ausflugtipps und Bildbände vorhanden. Die Lage der Wohnung ist super zur Entspannung ( ruhige Lage), aber auch für Ausflüge und Radtouren ideal (direkt am Bodenseeradweg), außerdem in kurzer Entfernung ein kleiner Zugang zum See, den wir täglich nutzten. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und für alle Fragen offen. Wir haben uns mit unseren Kindern in dieser Wohnung sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Sehr schöne Tage in einem besonderem Feriendomizil!

Wir verbrachten eine Ferienwoche in der Erdgeschosswohnung des sehr schönen und mit viel Liebe zum Detail restaurierten Fachwerkhauses. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet. Top-gepflegt und sauber! Das Haus befindet sich etwas oberhalb vom See. Der nächste Zugang ist zu Fuß in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Das Ehepaar Botterell sind sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir werden immer sehr gerne an den Urlaub zurückdenken!

perfekte Ferienidylle

Superschönes Haus, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und renoviert,es fehlt an nichts. Wir haben die neue Wohnung im EG gemietet,auch von hier Seeblick und nur wenige Minuten zur Badestelle.
