I'm not sure where to start with responding to your review on our family owned village. Regarding the ants, i'm afraid the only explanation for this is that they came in on the firewood as we have not had one ant in your cottage post your stay with us. I am terribly sorry for this. We are here from 9am every morning. I am not sure why you are saying we were not here on your departure because we were. We keep our reception door closed on freezing cold days such as the one we experienced on your departure, however we do have an intercom which you just push and we come straight out. You drove to reception, did not try to open reception door, nor ring the intercom and simply dropped your key in the key box and drove off without giving me the time nor opportunity to come out and say goodbye to you. It is very disappointing, and hurtful you would say we require customer service training as we pride ourselves on our family customer service and hospitality, and i think our reviews on multiple websites confirms this. Our cottages (and they are cottages, not 5 star hotel rooms) have been upgraded most certainly since the 90's. However there seems little point in outlining what we have done as I don't think there would be anything I could say to you to make you feel any better other than I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us and felt the need to really put us down on a social platform. It is terribly hurtful to both my sister and I, especially the customer service remarks. That hits the heart the most of all the things you have said as we care a LOT about our guests.
