Make sure you ask for updated room when booking. Some rooms haven't been updated since the 1980's. They smell musty and moldy. Hotel was able to give me an updated room. If they were sold out that would not have happened.

Electrical problem vs maintenance issue

We’ve stayed before and things have gone downhill. They seem to be having electric issues. 1) There was some problem with the room phone switchboard. It would call multiple times a day. Other guests had the same problem and they said there was nothing they could do about it. 2) The indoor pool door closes with a magnetic lock and it would not open from the inside multiple times. When brought to staff’s attention the maintenance man said we weren’t standing there long enough for the sensor to see us. And then the other issue is we asked for room service daily. We have a social needs child and we were frequently eating in our room because of her sensory issues. We brought trash bags and cleaned up but needed vacuuming regularly. We made a point to try to be out of the room during the day. Each time they wouldn’t come until like 4 or 5p when we were trying to get kids to nap or get ready. Just not as great as an experience I would expect for the price. I might try Hilton or Marriott next time.

Old and dirty. Looks like a pretty old motel. Carpet very old and dirty. Hallway stain, old and dirty. Not worth the price paid. Was expecting a much better experience with a well known name. Got to be the worst Holiday Inn I’ve seen. Very disappointed.

This hotel has great access to the beach, and a beautiful pool with a swim up bar. A beach bar is right next to the pool for a convenient and surprisingly tasty lunch. The Italian restaurant, Taste of Italy, was also fantastic. Overal, we would stay here again. Our only qualm was that the rooms could really use some updating.

Great Oceanfront Bargain

The room was clean and comfortable. I could see both the pool and the ocean from my room. It was a great bargain for a hotel on the beach. I WILL come back again!

Some rooms still need to be renovated. Pool area is clean and very nice. Beach is close. I would recommend this hotel. Great stay!
