Comfort and joy
A lovely house in a beautiful setting. Plenty of space, generous bathrooms, good bedlinen. Kitchen very well-equipped (I got to grips with the Aga!) with a comfortable dining room.
The weather was not great all week but it didn't matter. We found plenty to do and the ever-changing coastal views in the area were a delight.
We thought the house was excellent value and we were privileged to spend a week in this much-loved family home. Thank you

Lovely house in perfect spot.
This is a lovely family home in a perfect spot on the water front at Loch Melfort. The owners and the local contact are extremely helpful and went above and beyond when we left an item behind when we left . The weather was glorious during our visit so we had plenty of opportunity to explore the surrounding countryside. Several places nearby for eating out .

Cosy and remote
Very spacious well appointed property that has been looked after by the owners. Pretty front garden with onward views out over the loch. Remote, yet within striking distance of Oban to the north. Tesco food delivery on the arrival day worked out perfectly. We were able to explore the local area with lots of woodland walks and old castles within a half hour drive. Great health service on your doorstep, an ambulance was called and arrived within 20 minutes. Thank you for letting us stay at your house.

Fantastic place to call home while on vacation
We planned a return to Scotland and when we found Creag-an-Fhithich, a gorgeous house on a loch, we grabbed it! Room for our kids and their kids. Marvelous sights at every turn, friendly people wherever we went, activities too numerous to see all of them. There is not enough room to recount how thrilled we all are at our stay! Generous floor plan, comfortable furnishings. Housekeeper and owners readily available and responsive. Rate is very reasonable.
Dreadful. Drove 7 hours drive there n left next day at 6.00a.m. Filthy awful. Xx

Get away from California
We came to get away from the charred hills and craziness of California, and were not disappointed. The house was awesome and the location even better. The beauty and the greenness was spectacular. I worked on writing science in the mornings and we explored castles in the pm. The days started wonderfully with long runs along the shore. Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful Property
Even the infamous Scottish midge could not halt our enjoyment of this lovely house. Spacious, clean with an obvious interesting past not to mention the amazing views of Loch Melfort. Fantastic amenities especially the brilliant AGA cooker, which we used to make some suggested recipes kindly emailed to us by the owner in advance. We made delicious mince and bean casserole cooked over 10 hours that was enjoyed with a fresh crusty loaf. Plenty of storage space for our clothes in the closets provided. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and we also enjoyed the log burner on the colder evenings. The mature gardens are stunning with lots of lovely shrubs and colourful flowers and roses. It was a little further away from Oban than we would have wanted so you should be prepared to take food supplies with you if you want to avoid lengthy drives back and forth. Overall excellent experience and we would throughly recommend! Thank you Donald and Denise from the Ramsay Family

Great location
We enjoyed our stay .Stunning location .
A little bit surprised at added fee for energy but happy to pay.
Prices are crazy at the moment.and apparently going to be worse from October..
We were out a lot meeting up with friends in Oban and dog walking. As someone had to supervise dogs all the time in garden as front wall a bit low. and road a bit of a risk.
A good time was had by all though .

Super relaxing house
The weather wasn't great for our October stay but we didnt mind as CnF is such a comfortable, spacious house. A fantastic location with great views. The house is very well equipped for cooking and dining and the Aga type cooker is a bonus - great for overnight porridge. There are some great walks nearby in stunning scenery and the hosts gave us plenty of pre-visit suggestions.

Wonderful break in October
We stayed for one week during the October school holidays and had a very relaxing week. The house is beautiful, full of character, very large and fully stocked with everything you need. The open fire in the living room was lovely for relaxing in the evening and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking if you want. There is also a very nice Italian restaurant (Room at the top) nearby that does delivery or collection The garden is very large with lots of areas to explore and our dog enjoyed running around it! The views from the house over Loch Melfort are breathtaking and the shore of the Loch is just metres away from the house. Lots of wildlife to spot, a regular seal would visit, plenty of birds, deer and red squirrels. There are nice walks nearby the house and this part of Argyll has stunning scenery and lots to do within a short drive. It's around 20 minutes drive to Oban for stocking up on shopping.
I would thoroughly recommend and look forward to a future visit. Thank you !

Fantastic location in a traditional house ideal for family group and dog.
We had a great stay at Creag an Fittich, we launched our kayak from in front of the house, walked, cycled, Barbecued. Views Of the Loch from the house are amazing. The house is traditionally furnished, a long standing family home feel with everything you need. Good value holiday home.
Would recommend Venture West boat cruise from Crinan to the Corryvreckan whirlpool. We saw Sea Eagle and Golden Eagles and Sandy was a very friendly and informative skipper with new boat. Arduaine gardens also well worth a wander, Easdale too. We found the store in Ardfern had most things that Melfort store didn’t.
