POSITIVES: beautiful home, luxurious mattresses, every kitchen tool you’d ever need, comfortable seating, gorgeous view of the beach, elevator makes moving in & out a breeze, very clean home, great communication and even better response times with host. The beach area is amazing, very wide and spacious. It feels like your own private paradise. NEGATIVES: Everyone in our party got splinters from that deck. Don’t let your toddlers, or anyone for that matter, go barefoot on that deck & walkway and be very cautious of holding on to the railings OR sitting on the wooden seating as the splintering of the wood is really bad. The whole walkway and seating is riddled with shards of sharp wood and nails that are projecting from the decking. A number of boards are rotting through. Seems like it’s time for an upgrade. Also, the walk from the deck and over the dune to the beach is precarious and difficult for anyone who struggles with walking. The host sent someone to trim the path of overgrowth which made walking easier. We plan to go back but wish that deck could be updated as one of our toddlers cut a pretty deep gash in her heel. With all the loveliness of this property, I’m surprised that these deck issues have not been addressed and attended to.
