This hotel has very many rooms. There are a lot of people here. Around 1000 tourists + staff. They also building 300 new rooms so in a year you can add about 5-600 more tourists. That’s so stupid. If you like a lot of people and a tourist machine this is the place for you. If you like some kind of charm and personality avoid this place at all costs. After a day the group of us (4 people) got diarrhea and this lasted all days. One of us got an allergic reactions after 5 days and got really bad with visit to nearby hospital for a day. Reception: they are rude and treat you like nothing. When you pay 350 usd per day you expect more. All other staff are great. When it comes to restaurants you can book they close some of the best regularly. That means you have to be very lucky to book a table here. Kulinarisk and the Italian. In my opinion that is no good. The hotel advertise this as a gem but in 8 days at this place we managed to book 2 times. Overall we regret spending 3500 usd at this place. Next year it is even worse.

Clean clean room! Good food but… something to know, they offered an upgrade from partial ocean view to full ocean and the bed was two doubles pushed together and no king size sheets so sleeping together was not an option comfortably… huge disappointment. When we asked staff to at least put king size blankets so we could share the covers they did not. Huge disappointment but if sleeping together isn’t an issue this place was really nice. They didn’t have all the drink options available but staff was friendly and pleasant

I just got back from a 4-night stay at Riu Jambo, and honestly, if you’re looking for that postcard-perfect Zanzibar turquoise water, this is the spot. But like any big resort, there are a few things you should know before you book. The Location & Beach (10/10) This is the absolute highlight. Since it’s located in Nungwi, the tide doesn't go out for miles like it does on the East Coast. You can actually swim in the ocean all day long. The beach is pristine, and the sunsets from the jetty bar are probably the best I’ve ever seen. Pro tip: Head to the "See You" bar on the jetty around 5:30 PM to snag a seat for sunset. The Food & Drinks For an all-inclusive, the food was surprisingly good. The main buffet (Maisha) has a massive variety, but it can feel a bit like a "canteen" during peak hours because it gets very loud and busy. The Speciality Restaurants: We tried the Asian (Yunnan) and the Italian (Il Panzotto). The Italian place on the jetty is a must—the atmosphere is way more intimate than the buffet. Drinks: They don’t stingy with the drinks, and the cocktails are decent, though sometimes a bit sugary. The Rooms We had a lateral sea view room. It was modern, super clean, and the AC worked like a charm.

Wow! This was my first time in Tanzania, and staying at this hotel made the trip unforgettable. The property is absolutely beautiful, and my room was very nice. Everything still feels new, clean, and very well maintained. The people, the service, the food, and the drinks were all amazing. Every day, the meals and beverages were fresh and delicious. I also loved seeing the chefs come out to speak with guests and check in on service — such a thoughtful touch. The entertainment was great as well; I had so much fun! I truly had the best time and honestly didn’t want to leave. I even got sick during my stay, and the team took such great care of me. As a solo traveler, I felt completely at home. I’d like to recognize a few employees who made my stay especially welcoming and well taken care of: Front Desk: Pendaeli and Barnaba Restaurant Servers: Neema, Mwita,Hamad, Husna, and Ally And the entire lobby bar team — they were fantastic. I will definitely be back!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were so pleasant and friendly, the room was spacious and so clean. The service was fantastic, sometimes in big resorts the quality of service can slip but that was not the case here. The food was amazing and lots of variety every day. Plenty of choice of pools so was never too crowded and the beach front is lovely. I can’t wait to come back.

The time we spent at RIU Jambo was fantastic. Because we enjoyed our stay so much, I want to list out the highlights - Rooms were clean and the sea view was perfect - The food offerings were good with a lot of options, I especially loved breakfast - All the staff and RIU Jambo for pleasant and charasmatic. Good customer service goes a long way and RIU Jambo has some of the best customer service I have experienced - Hotel grounds were beautiful with plenty of spots for pictures - Spa was nice and professional offering a wide range of services - Beach at this location was great for swimming and water activities 10/10 , I would stay here again

This property was a nice property, but unfortunately there were many cons. 1. The hotel is massive and it takes forever just to get from one place to another. If you don't like big resorts and would like something more intimate, this place is not for you 2. The beach peddlers just don't leave you alone. The constantly beg you to buy stuff or harass you which is extremely annoying, especially if you are there for some R&R. They follow you and just cannot take "NO" for an answer. Even the security is around, they just bother you 3. The food was just "ok". fruits were unripe, lots of fried foods which is very unhealthy, and the quality of the food was mediocre 4. The gym had only some equipment working (1 treadmill working only). There were no heavy weights at all, which I thought was weird 5. I had a DND on my door for a few days, and the hotel staff wanted to know why I didn't need the room cleaned. I'm a grown adult who can make my own bed and clean up after myself. If I needed something, I would have asked them to come clean my room. There should be no questioning or sending me a message to ask why I had it hanging on my door. I'm not wasteful, I'm resourceful 6. There is no iron in the room. When I called to inquire, they stated to me that I can only use it for an hour, and many other people were ahead of me. I've never been to a hotel and had to call to use an iron with a 1hr timeframe 7. My room had NO hot water. When I called the front desk, it took 3 days to fix

Fantastisk semester på en kanon resort

Underbar vistelse på en ren och trevlig anläggning med vänlig personal. Ligger fantastiskt på stranden. Utanför resorten inte mycket att se/äta/shoppa tyvärr. Stort utbud av god mat och dryck. Gymmet hade en del trasiga maskiner och spa avdelningen ekade alltid tom förmodligen för de höga priserna på behandlingar. Underhållning på kvällen var lite sisådär men funkade. Åker gärna tillbaka.
