A great stay for an even greater price

It’s a great place to stay in Gallup. It is a little outdated however the rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. They offer a great breakfast spread with made to order omelets and biscuits and gravy (not always but on some days). They do not have an elevator which can be an issue for some but it’s only two levels so the stairs are manageable for most. The I-40 entrance is right off the exit of the hotel which is perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing

Made to order omlete was awesome, but you only get one. We didn't know until we arrived that the hot tub and pool were not available. They said there were no more first floor rooms so we were to go to be on the second floor. We go out to dinner and come back to bring our luggage and find out there was no elevator. On top of bad allergy season, the room smells of the cleaning chemicals that made allergies so much worst. We decided not to stay the second night and to get a better sleep back home.

The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, the water in the shower is hot, and the temperature for the hvac seems to be working. For about $100 not sure I have any right to expect more. The lovely lady at the front desk was super helpful and patient and probably deserves a raise. The owner should be ashamed that his hotel advertises - on every booking site I checked - a hotel with a pool and spa. Both of which he closed when he bought the property. I was too tired to fight but after driving 600 miles, I was looking forward to a soak in the hot tub tonight and a swim in the morning before I drive another 600 miles.
