Direct Oceanfront, First Floor on the Beach, Quiet and Secluded Rum Point area

'A Mid-Winter Night's Dream' is located on the quiet side of the island, about 40 minutes from Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM).

This is a first floor, end unit that provides easy access to the freshwater pool, white sand beach, and clear blue Caribbean Sea.

Don't confuse this condo with many of the rentals in the vicinity that are located on an inlet or bay. This villa has all the benefits of true oceanfront living - the ocean breeze, snorkeling at the reef, and an endless view of the Caribbean Sea.

The condo sleeps 4-6 people with its two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sofa-sleeper in the living room.

The North Pointe Condos consist of only 10 units. The beach, BBQ pit, and pool are for use by guests only. These areas never get crowded.

The master bedroom has an attached master bathroom. You can lay in the king size bed while watching the waves roll in.

The 2nd bedroom features two twin size beds with easy access to the bathroom, living room, and lanai.

Central air conditioning keeps the condo at a comfortable temperature.

The kitchen is furnished with a microwave, oven/range, dishwasher, coffee maker, in-sink garbage disposal, toaster oven and blender. There are enough cooking utensils to serve just about any cooking need.

There is a large screened-in lanai with an incredible view of the Caribbean. Enjoy the tropical breeze, view of the sea, and the sound of waves from the comforts of the condo. Walk out the lanai's door and you are just steps away from the freshwater pool, white sand beach, and clear blue Caribbean Sea.

The freshwater pool has an attached kiddie pool. There are beach towels and water floats in the condo for our guests to use.

The condo is equipped with a washer/dryer, iron/ironing board, color TV with cable, and telephone. The bathrooms are furnished with starter supplies (toilet paper, etc.). If you happen to run out, Chisholm's Grocery is only 5 minutes away.

A local maintenance man is available in case of an emergency. Phone numbers are posted on the refrigerator.

the BEST VRBO I've stayed in

Well supplied condo... from beach toys to coolers, ample towels, w/d, to icepacks in the freezer. Very comfortable. fast internet. Owner was very, very good on communications. we had one small plumbing issue and on-site staff addressed in 15 minutes. Nearby Rum Point was a favorite beach spot to hang out, snorkel, use lounge chairs and access the bar/ restaurant. Note that popular 7MB beach locations about 50-60 minutes away. we prob spent majority of our beach days at 7MB to take advantage of snorkling variety. Waters off Macabuca Grill was favorite. This condo was situated in very quiet community. minimal traffic or noisy neighbors, no jet skis. very safe as well. Pool, beach and snorkel access steps away. Very much enjoyed ground floor patio and lanai. We picked up prepared foods at Hurleys & Fosters and ate in most evenings. Restaurant options at NorthSide are limited. Enjoyed both Rum Point food as well as Over the Edge. Tukka Tukka on East End (20 min drive) features aussie-style food AND 5 pm daily Frigate bird feeding which was cool.

Daniel's condo in Grand Cayman

This is a great location for a quiet stay, about as close to the ocean as one can be. Most people stay in the seven-mile beach area which is busier and pricier. Daniel's condo is fully equipped and fit the bill for us. I especially liked to go out onto the screened lanai around 6 am to sip coffee, read the paper and watch the sun come up.

Very quiet location

The condo was nice, kitchen was well stocked with dishes etc... Beach was not nice, alot of garbage on the beach. It also was not swimmable. You need a car to go to anywhere. Rum Point is 3 miles down the road nothing is in walking distance. We did enjoy Rum Point for the snokeling. This section of the island is very quiet so no night life or close restaurants. The nearest grocery store is very expensive, you have to drive 30 minutes to go to a bigger grocery store. Also have GPS so you can find where everything is.

Wonderful host, quiet side of Grand Cayman

First off, Dan was a wonderful host. The communication was top notch, and very insightful. Since this was our first time in Grand Cayman, we asked some questions about restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, etc. And he was more than helpful with all of the information he provided. We weren’t sure how far out of the way the North Side was, but it gave us exactly what we wanted; a quiet place to unwind and enjoy some down time away from college, high school, and work. If you have a single family, this unit is the perfect size. The pool is very nice, the private beach is beautiful, and Rum Point is a few miles down the road. We’d definitely stay in the condo again. Dan, thanks for your hospitality and for all of the help you provided us in making this a wonderful family vacation! Cheers!

Excellent Vacation

My wife and kids, age 15 and 14, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo had all of the amenities for an excellent vacation. The kitchen was stocked with great equipment and a full rack of spices, so cooking at home was a breeze. The owner was super communicative, along with the property managers, who were a great help. The pool area had plenty of lounging chairs for those who like to tan or burn. There was also an shaded area on the deck with 3 lounge chairs, so you could enjoy the outsides and pool area without direct sun. We would definitely stay at this property again. Thank you for allowing us to book!

Great Winter Getaway

We had a fabulous time. Our condo was away from the hustle and bustle of the island ....the way we like it....yet, easy to get anywhere from. It was spacious and comfortable like a home-away-from-home. Highlights were the Star Fish, Rum Point, Sting Rays, and lots of great snorkeling bays! Over the Edge restaurant has fantastic food! Great vacation...just too short!!

Great location

Dan’s place was perfect for our vacation! I traveled with my wife and two daughters and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice. We knew his place was on the north side away from all the tourists and we loved it. We did travel over to the Georgetown area 2 days out of our 6 days on the island for dive trips and shopping and Seven Mile beach and were very happy with where we stayed. It took about 40-45 mins each time. The photos of the place were accurate. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The Lanai was great- if we weren’t a few steps away at the beach we were eating or hanging out there. We didn’t spend much time in the pool because we were in the ocean or on the beach but it was really nice to have. It was well maintained. We ate out a few nights- Over the Edge and Tukka on the East side and both had great food. Tukka was our favorite and worth the drive. We also cooked in a few nights too and had everything we needed to do that. The beach was incredible. Yes the swimming is really only meant for snorkeling but there are a few spots where if you wear water shoes you can wade out on the grass and cool off. The snorkeling by the reef on calm days was just as good as other parts of the island! All in all it was the best vacation we had in a very long time and we won’t hesitate to stay at Dan’s place again.

Remote Cayman Condo

Family of 4’s first trip to Grand Cayman Island and our condo was perfect. We were looking for something away from people and the typical tourist tract. The condo is on the ocean, although this area is not really suitable for swimming. The sounds of the waves and the views are incredible. The pool at the condo was fabulous too. We used it several times and had it to ourselves all but once. We brought snorkeling gear but the condo had a nice supply of water/beach toys and gear. The provided coolers were a great benefit too. We had a car, as needed at this location, and pretty much drove around the entire island. Condo is a 5 minute drive to Rum Point which has a few things to do. Otherwise it’s a 30 minute or more drive for groceries, restaurants, etc. Again, we were looking for something more remote and this place was perfect!

Wonderful!

It was clean and well equipped. This section of the island is quiet and right near Rum Point. The west end of the island had beautiful and secluded beaches. The washer and dryer were a wonderful bonus. Highly recommend these hosts. They are thoughtful and flexible. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Property was super clean and cozy with a split bedroom layout and fully stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, etc which was great. It also has a big lanai and RIGHT on the ocean - it's not a swimming area but it was really nice to be able walk along the ocean front in the morning/evening. We did have an issue with the electricity that the owner agreed to provide partial compensation for, which was satisfactory to rectifying the issue. This property has a professional management company who were super helpful which was a great plus. This is definitely on the quiet side of the island and nothing in close walking distance, so highly recommend a rental car - the great news is this property has free parking and right off the main road.

Quiet, beautiful, ocean. Great value

SO glad we didn’t stay at 7 mile beach — way too busy and touristy. Rum Point is perfect if you want serenity. We had two toddlers with us and this condo was perfect. Even a kiddie pool. Right on the sandy beach (water too rough for toddlers). If you stay here, go to Rum Point Beach (really close) for chairs, snorkeling, food, drinks. Even turtles by the pier. This is the best condo in this complex, as the lanai and master BR have ocean views. Dan (owner) is extremely responsive to emails and inquiries.

Amazing place!!!

Fantastic Views!

The lanai was so amazing, we enjoyed spending time there playing cards, eating all of our meals, and just generally enjoying the comfort and view. We were very pleased with everything about the condo, pictures didn't do it justice. We wanted an "off the beaten path" location and this absolutely fit the bill, it was very quiet and peaceful. You will definitely want to rent a car at the airport, taxis and the like are not really an option on the north side. We loved this condo so much that we are already contemplating our next visit!

Location, location

Had a wonderful stay. We were looking to get away from the crowds and this North side location was perfect. Days spent on the beach could pass with only a few passers by. However in a few minutes drive we could get to restaurants and actives. Dan, our host could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Where the facility needs some repairs the condos are stepping in with upgrade projects. Our stay was cut back by the Covid-19 outbreak but we will definitely return.

Quiet Clean Location

The condo is in a northern location close to Rum Point and Kaibo. We enjoyed our vacation and would recommend and a home base during your stay. 7 mile beach is an easy 30 min Drive. The near by grocery store also has most of what you will need to make your own breakfast. Dan communicates well and helped point us in the right direction with a packet of info mailed to us that was much appreciated. Thanks Dan!

The greatest rental we've ever enjoyed...

My husband, our 2 teen daughters and I stayed at A Midwinter Night's Dream April 13-April 20, 2019. It was the PERFECT location. This property was everything we had dreamed of. Great beachfront location. Private white sandy beach WITH COCONUT TREES! Private pool with outdoor shower. The condo was very spacious, with 2 bathrooms, comfortable beds, a screened-in lanai, and super A/C. The kitchen was well stocked. The owner lets you use their snorkel gear (so you can snorkel right in the 'backyard'!) AND beach towels (saved us packing an extra suitcase!) The beach was cleaned 2x while we were there, so there was minimal seaweed buildup! But the REAL benefit of this gorgeous condo on the North Side of Grand Cayman was the owner, Dan. He was the MOST helpful owner we've dealt with in all our rentals. Gave us great information. Sent us a folder full of maps and things to do. Was accessible continuously and unbelievably helpful. Can't thank you enough, Dan, for what ended up being a PERFECT family vacation!!! We highly recommend this beautiful condo if you're going to Grand Cayman!

Dream Vacation

This was our first trip to the Island and we were fortunate to spend 3 full weeks at Dans home. We visited several attractions, enjoyed time at Rum Point, chartered a fishing trip with Captain Charlie’s, learned how to shore fish from some of the local islanders. Honestly the most relaxing time was spent right at Dans place. The views of the Caribbean are breathtaking and we will definitely miss that the most. The Condo was immaculate and The Lang Family has seen to it that all the comforts of home are provided. We made our initial inquiry with Dan almost a year ago. He has gone above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed all the Island has to offer. Another Amazing Vacation

This was our 2nd stay at Dan's condo. It won't be our last! Dan is very friendly and so helpful to work with. Before our vacation, he sent us a packet of helpful info - including a map that he had highlighted various activities or places to visit for us. We stayed for 10 days and it absolutely feels like home. We just stayed at the condo and relaxed on the beach often. You can walk in either direction on the beach and not see another person. It's relaxing and beautiful. Ground floor and corner unit - it's ideal and can't get any closer to the beach. We took advantage of the bbq grlll on site several times. We did visit the Seven Mile Beach area a couple of times, but we prefer the peace and quiet of the north side. If you're looking for an amazing destination and a place that feels like home, this is it! Thanks for another great vacation, Dan! Until next time...….

Cozy condo in paradise

We really enjoyed our stay at Dan's condo. The complex was very nice and quiet and the pool was never crowded. The patio overlooking the ocean was so nice to sit outside and have breakfast on. Rum point is a little out of the way of a lot of touristy stuff (we knew that and wanted a quieter location). What we didn't know was that the ocean is very rocky near the condo. This is great if you're looking for snorkeling, but for frolicking in the water it's not the best. The beach itself is sandy, but it's also a little steep to relax on. There are plenty of great beaches just a short drive away, though! The only problem we had with the actual condo was that the internet connection was kind of weak and we kept having to restart the router. Other than that our stay was great!
