I had mixed feelings about leaving this review as I was disappointed with my stay, but we still made the best of it. I will start with the positives. The grounds were well maintained and expansive pool. Sunset Cove was a tucked away gem. Cons - Grand Palladium is a travel club/timeshare with a hotel revenue component. I don’t like timeshares as the property buildings get dated and there is typically not a focus on maintaining room standards. After paying close to 4500 for 2 adults and kid and seeing 4.5-5 stars on Expedia, I thought I would get a decent room experience. The rooms are in disrepair and we were told we were on the recently renovated side. The walls were in disrepair, extremely poor workmanship, and broken floor tiles all over the place! There was mold on the shower heads, tile grout that was not wiped off the tiles around the bathtub, and random nails sticking out. They offered to change, however for the same room with more broken floor tiles than our current room. With a child that loves to run barefoot, that’s not cool. Not inconveniencing and losing time for that. Only here 4 nights. The food is bad and they kept running out of things like towels, food items, cups, etc. to the point we thought we were being pranked. The pool is so expansive, it’s hard to find seating anywhere around it. Lastly, they should offer add’l food options for kids at Sunset Cove. 1 hr wait for lunch and dinner is too long for kids and takes away from vacation.

The only thing we did not like is, they told us to show up for a tour the day after we checked in…it was a sales pitch for their time share. The time share scam is overpriced despite how nice the sales people are, it is a scam. Overall we loved the resort and I would definitely go back.

Loved it besides the phone didn’t work in my room so they allowed my driver to leave me at 6am and my pick up time was at 6:40am to the airport to go home I had to pay $70 to get to the airport very inconvenient

Property is pretty, rooms are nice and well kept. Restaurants were beautiful. Service in restaurants was slow and food was good, not great. Buffet breakfast was great. Pool is beautiful but needs more tending to/better upkeep/cleaning. Difficult to get chairs by pool and on beach. Most staff was really lovely and friendly, especially Shavae and Rolando. Teen club was tiny, open very limited hours. Kids club was geared towards toddlers. My 9 year old had so been looking forward to kids club and was really disappointed to find nothing geared to his age at all. Guest services might as well not exist. Called and made some requests, was told they would be taken care of, but was just left waiting. Especially final morning. Called bell desk at 6 said I had to check out at 7 am and needed bell service/shuttle so we could get breakfast and be ready for airport transfer 7:45. No one came. Lugged our suitcases down 3 floors ourselves. Still no shuttle. Had left 1 backpack in room and could not get back in as our bracelets wouldn’t open door. 7:15 still no shuttle, lugged our suitcase towards lobby and flagged down a shuttle halfway there. Was brought back to room with bell man and door still wouldn’t open with his key. Had to wait for door to be reprogrammed by another staff member to get remaining bag from room. Instead of enjoying final breakfast as a family, I left dripping in sweat from running back up and down stairs, lugging suitcases and trying to get in room. Disappointing end.

Good service, Food wasnt completely bad but ive had better at some other all inclusive. Food not bad enough to spoil trip though. This is probably the most dated grand palladium of them all. Beach was Great! Liqour was the worst of any all inclusive I've ever been at.

This resort is huge but you get transportation to go where you want to be. The staff was friendly and helpful. The supervisor at Mobay buffet Symoy was exceptional. She was always smiling, courteous and very helpful to me when I had questions. Beautiful resort .
