It was a nice hotel but for the price it was underwhelming. The view of the beach we recieved (that we paid for) could only be seen from the very far left corner of our balcony. The balcony door was broken so it would not shut while we were outside and would not lock without pulling hard on the door while turning the lock. The bathroom door would not slide all the way closed because a screw had fallen out and the guide was hanging off. I found said screw on the floor, thankfully did not step on it. All of this on top of $30 a night to park in their lot (should be included in the pricy fees in my opinion). Overall was very underwhelmed.

Me and my family had a wonderful time at your hotel. We definitely will be back!! The reason for our trip was to go to Virginia Beach and it was very private. Not very many people at all. I loved that!! Having an entrance to the beach is awesome. The only complaint I have is the parking garage is very tight and you cannot get out of your car when someone is parked on both sides of you. Please look into this expanding the size of the parking spots.

Everything about the actual property was great from having a starbucks on location to dining option to beachfront. VERY upset about the dirty linen in our bedroom. And the fact that no staff/ managers seemed to care.

It’s a decent hotel, but the bay views are misleading. You’re really looking at the condos next door and a sliver of a view of the bay. They know this and are very dodgy in the descriptions about this. We paid extra for this and only saw the condo next door. Also, the room was not clean. The counters hadn’t been wiped off. The bathroom hadn’t been mopped and it was obvious little effort was made to clean thoroughly. Also, you have to pay to park your car here - also left out of the description at booking. The spots are also super tiny! I wanted to like this hotel—but it’s just not the quality you’re led to believe it is when you’re booking. Someone else said it best, it’s a 2-star hotel with 4-star prices.

Upon checking in, I found sand around the bathroom corner. The toilet paper roll holder is worn and the roll keeps falling off. Front desk manager saw the problem, saying there’s no housekeeper after 5 PM and he would inform the House keeping department. After he left, I also found a small clear plastic bag and a crayon beside the living room couches. House keeper came for regular service the next day but did not vacuum the sand until check out three days later. Front desk manager was not available for resolution upon checking out. Also bathroom tiles and corners have pinkish to dark algae/mildew. This was very disappointing and uncharacteristic of Marriott.

We were there for a basketball tournament and stayed 4 nights. I'm glad we didn't go for the other cheaper options in the area: this was definitely on the higher end and the cleanliness was questionable. Blood stains on sheets, dust bunnies flying around in the room, dead cockroach in the hallway, water bottle filling station not functioning (combined from front desk denying us an additional complimentary water bottle), lights not working in bathroom, previous guests food leftovers hidden behind bedside table, ball of human hair on the bathroom floor were found upon our arrival...and were still present when we left (aside from food leftovers, I cleaned those myself afraid it would attract pest). While I'm sure it was way better than other hotels in the area, it definitely not match the price tag.
