Hotel was very clean, rooms were very clean. Great tv channels and HD was terrific. All staff were very nice. Towels and bedding were top notch. My only two issues are the base of the bed. It makes noise when you move in the bed or hit it with your foot, this should be changed immediately. Second, I woke up from smoke smell in the middle of the night. Not sure where it came from, but my husband and I were both disappointed by this.

Okay for what we needed for 1 night

When booking online I booked a king bed and asked that we have a handicap accessible room for wheelchair access. When I got the call to confirm, they told me they only had a queen bed...ok, thats fine. We get into the room and immediately saw that the bathroom was NOT completely wheelchair, handicapped accessible as there was a full tub, not walk-in shower so my Mom was not able to use shower. We also noticed the "janky" sink support which is not up to code. The room was ok, but get rid of the recliner chair as seen in attached photos, the recliner was clearly very worn. There is an indoor pool, but we did not use. The complimentary breakfast was good with biscuits and gravy, mini waffle maker, fruit, granola bar, cereal, coffee, bagels and english muffins. No eggs or any other meat protein. Ample parking, however the sidewalk to front door is very narrow for wheelchair. Overall, we were only in town 1 night and due to that reason, I give it an okay stay.

Clean, Affordable and Great Customer Service

I had booked a room at a nearby hotel and that hotel was completely disgusting so I had to fund another hotel in the same area for that night but at an affordable rate because I already paid for a room that I refused to stay in. I went to hotels.com and found the New Victorian Inn and it was affordable so I figured I would give it a shot. When I got to the New Victorian Inn They had my paperwork and keys ready and it literally took me less than 2 minutes to check inn. When I got to the room I was so pleased. It was sparkling clean with updated flooring, clean towels and the shower had the best water pressure. I was so pleased with my room, the rate, the check in process and the fact that they even had a pool was a plus. I will never ever pay almost 200 dollars a night for a hotel when I am in Norfolk because there is this little known gem called the New Victorian Inn.
