While we did have partial ocean view, we also had Hilton construction view and noise, beginning at 6am daily...Expedia did not mention this. Also the Palace main building was under construction, with no elevators and 3 flights of stairs to lobby or walk further to elevators in 2 side buildings. No laundry facilities, even though listed as amenities (laundry pay service available). Finally, Room Credits not very useful or accessible at all, basically useless-very restrictive, causing you to spend money before getting minimal credit useage-very disappointed in this. The $590 room credit was hardly usable, and too restrictive! Please be more honest and upfront about these important features in future....I will not use Expedia again, unfortunately, even if they are Canadian.

Property in a great location for walking and view of ocean. Staff were always accommodating. It would have been a more positive experience if we were made aware of the fact that the property is going through some upgrades/renovations and it was a little noisier than a normal RIU property that we have stayed in before was.

Excellent food quality for an all-inclusive. Room quality was mediocre. Staff service was average. The hotel is dated and a major portion was under renovation. While our room was clean, it had a musty odour to it.

The staff was very friendly. The food was mediocre. The property is run down, but seems to be undergoing renovations. Only 2 of the 4 restaurants were open, and one restaurant took over an hour to bring dinner. The beach is perfection. I wouldn't go back to this hotel specifically, but I'll be back to this beach spot.

The room was not cold enough, and the construction noise was very loud and disturbing. The restaurants wouldn’t accept guests after a certain hour, even though they were open late, which was disappointing. The alcohol was quite watered down, and there were kids on the side where they weren’t supposed to be. Despite these issues, the staff was very friendly overall.
