Buyer Beware- This host forced me to spend the night in a 100 degree cabin with no AC and although it wasn't listed as an amenity the host never replied to the question of "Is there AC?" Upon arrival and discovering the lack of any cooling capacity on the hottest day of the year the host denied the refund request. Combine this with the complete lack of WIFI (Advertised amenity) and you have the longest inferno of a night imaginable. Do not rent this place in the summer and be sure to consider how this ingrate of a host forces his "guests" to sleep in h3ll.

We rented this cabin for a week, because my family needed a quiet place to stay during and after the death and funeral of my father. The problems were: 1. No instructions were given beforehand on how to access the cabin, so I had to call Vrbo, who had to call the owner, who forgot I was checking in that day. 2. There was only a small window air conditioner unit in one bedroom, but the rest of the house was sitting at 84 degrees! Placed another call to Vrbo, who called the owner of the property, who called me and got his property manager to come out with a room unit to try and cool the rest of the cabin. It helped, but the second bedroom was still uncomfortable. 3. At 1:30 AM the day of the funeral, all the smoke detectors went off, and we had to remove all but one of them from the ceiling to get them to stop. We were concerned, so we called the fire department just to be safe. I texted the owner of the property, but never got a response. 4. The outdoor trash bin was overflowing. I spoke to the owner, who said he'd get the property manager to take care of it, but nothing was done. We left our trash on top of the pile. 5. There were no curtains on any of the windows, so the neighbor next door stepped out on his deck and watched us in the living room. 6. The listing said 2 queen beds, but one of the beds was a full sized bed, not a queen bed. 7. One dirty glass was mixed in with the clean ones. Hope someone reads this before booking this cabin.

It was a very nice remodeled little cabin. It was very clean. Communication was OK, I had to send a couple messages to get the lock box code but it in no way delayed access. Nathan was very nice to deal with. The shoreline was really weedy so there really was not a swim area if that’s what you want. There was an air conditioner but it was only in the bedroom. I fortunately read the review so we packed a fan which helped.

This cabin has potential. While the interior is adorable and updated, it was lacking a few major elements. For context, we stayed here during the middle of July.1. We got to the cabin at 4:30 and the air conditioning guy got there at the same time. It was 98 degrees inside. He was told by the owner to put the window a/c unit in the small bedroom. That did not help the cabin. We ended up running to HD and spending another 400 on a portable a/c unit and a fan. That helped some, BUT there are no curtains anywhere and the sun was shining bright by 5:30am which made it hot in there throughout the day. (No curtains, the neighbors sitting on their deck could see right into the living space.)2. No WiFi. I reached out twice for the password and got no response. We ended up using the Hotspot on my phone.3. Do not expect to fish or swim at the cabin. It is waterfront but super shallow and all weeds. There is a BEAUTIFUL public beach close by on Pelican Lake.4. If you have anyone sleeping on the futons you will need to bring blankets and pillows, they are not provided. You should also bring more towels. There were 4 of us and only two towels. Also, do not bring anything microwaveable. There isn’t one. 5. There is not a grill, or at least not one that we could find. We spent another 45 at DG down the road on a small grill. Thankfully the a/c guy let us in, the owner gave us the code around 6:30, check in is at 4.
