Stay overall was great, room view was excellent of the river. Pricila at the front desk check in was a gem, only issue there was we had no shower gel in the bathroom had to use shampoo for showers... but other than that, staff, food & accommodation was great. Enjoyed our stay.

We spend the weekend to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We took her to the aquarium which was 23 minutes away, walking distance and after we did a small birthday setup in the room (she was turning one). The room was okay, the furniture was a little bit damaged (scratches). The window was dirty and was the main reason to pick that room, the view. No microwave, no trash bags and the room service didn’t went to our room during our stay at all. The location was excellent if you want to visit the state park or hang out. Multiple food options, walkable. The lobby and main entrance looked too nice for the room aspect and cleanliness. Could be better.

After booking a different hotel nearby & discovering the deplorable conditions we left immediately & found the doubletree- not only was it closer to our destination but when I say just walking into the lobby we were immediately able to take a deep breath & relax. We were greeted by a wonderful & kind front desk staff who made us feel welcome right away! We only stayed for a night but had a chance to get some much needed relaxation, as well as catch breakfast at the restaurant on site which was delicious! Speaking of delicious can we just talk about the COOKIES at the front desk!! the cookies are something to rave about, not only are they warm but they are gooey & the perfect amount of sweet! It really helped sweeten the sour start to our weekend in NY! Thank you Doubletree. :)
