A bit misleading but a nice place to stay.
When we arrived, we noticed two issues; the master bedroom wasn’t cleaned very well and the home was in need of a lot of minor home repairs, paint peeling, chewed up trim, hole in wall. Nothing that affected the stay, only the way the home looked. That was a bit disappointing as the photos on Vrbo show the home before any of those damages happened it seems. As for the cleanliness in the bedroom, we reached out to the owners and they were very quick to respond to send someone out to re-clean the bedroom. They missed a couple spots still, but at that point I just cleaned it myself. Overall, the home is cute and a good spot for being in downtown Hampton. The pictures are bit misleading as far as the condition of the home goes, but it isn't so bad it’s a deal breaker.

We were there for a couple weeks working and the house provided us a place to relax in the evening and cook. We travel a lot and try to rent a house when available. This one did the job. Quiet neighborhood with a Food Lion near by.

Great rental for family vacation
Our stay at the house on Settlers Landing was great! The home is located in a cute neighborhood, and was convenient to several attractions. The house is older and needs a little TLC in a couple areas, but was overall very clean and comfortable for our group. The owner was responsive to all questions, quick to resolve issues and accomodating of last minute changes. The linens were very nice, with soft bedsheets and plush towels. The kitchen was stocked with a good set of dishes and cookware. And the washer/dryer worked very well! We would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect location for short stay to drop off my college student!
Location, location, location...property was very close to Hampton University. I was in VA to drop my freshman off at the University. We had a issue with soiled laundry on one of the beds but Lynn was responsive when I reached out and told me where to find extra sheets. I typically buy my own sheets when I travel anyway!

Planning our next trip here for sure!!
This rental was with out a doubt absolutely amazing… there are no words to describe how welcoming and comfortable we felt staying here… it’s beautiful for one… it’s nice and quiet, little house… but perfect!! I, my husband, and my four children stayed here for four five days to go to Virginia Beach… the bedrooms have TVs with Roku, they have everything you need from the bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and even the washer and dryer… all we had to buy was the good to cook our meals! We did buy laundry detergent and fabric sheets cause we didn’t want to use all of their detergent and fabric sheets washing our clothes. But it was amazing staying there. The second night it was storming and my youngest was scared to sleep by herself in the one bedroom so we blew the air mattress up that was extra in the upstairs closet and it kept loosing air. We managed for the night cause it was late but the next morning I messaged the owner to let them know and she was there within the hour with a new air mattress!! She was just so amazing!! Five stars for sure.. We will definitely be going back to this house when we go next year for vacation!! Can’t wait to go back already!!

Relaxing stay
We recently stayed here while meeting friends in Virginia Beach, and it was a wonderful stay. The home itself could use some updating on the inside, but Lynn and Caleb were wonderful hosts and thought of lots of extra touches, which made our stay all the more homey. They provided a thorough list of local restaurants to try, plenty of Tide pods in order to take care of that sandy beach attire each and every day, and towels galore. The home was clean, the beds were very comfy, and the location was very convenient. Along with Hampton itself, we were able to visit both the Virginia Beach area and Williamsburg, never feeling like we were far from "home". Being in an unfamiliar area and close to some areas that seemed more rundown, we were grateful for a good security system and never felt like our safety was compromised. All in all, this was a great property to rent from, and we would recommend it! Thanks again, Lynn and Caleb! :-)

Perfectly described - no disappointment
Stayed here to explore the area for future retirement spot. This home was perfect! It was clean, well appointed, had extra touches like Roku TV's and lots of towels. The owner communicated well and it was easy to check in and out. Would definitely stay here again!
