Clean, spacious, great location but not the best.

The room. Clean, spacious, great location, lovely staff, recently refurbed, large comfy bed, large bathroom, good soundproofing for outiside noise, a lightly stocked mini fridge that actually works, nice sized bar/lobby, large private balcony (room upgrade), safe, good toiletetries, hairdrier, large smart tv with apps, on site parking, close to train station, towels replaced for 2nd night. Cons: loud inside room (air con thru the night comes on every half or or so even when its turned off at the controller), pillows are the worst iv ever had in a hotel, noise from corridors and lift is constant, were not provided furniture for our balcony which was the whole point of paying extra, we noticed smaller less expensive rooms had funiture, check in was delayed 20 mins again not great for paying almost £300 for a 2 night stay, selection of draft beers at bar was poor and pricey and finally maids were in at some point to change out towels, we didnt request this and personally not keen on people being in my room throughout my stay when im not present (previous bad expereinces). All in all id give this hotel 7/10. It is a lovely hotel in a great location and would be ideal for a night or 2, but id definitely recommend not paying extra for an upgrade as it doesnt feel like one. If i had booked a standard room id feel i had got more for my money. Definately clean, spacious and somewhere id stay again, but i know i sleep better in a premier inn. Didnt eat here so cant comment.

Excellent stay

Quick check in no problems at all the rooms were really neat and tidy very presentable and very comfy. Plenty of storage and nice to have the mini fridge aswell to keep drinks cool. Staff were very friendly and kind.

Nice central location

Nice hotel, reasonably sized room, good shower. Unfortunately the bed was very hard which impacted our sleep quality. The hotel is located near Central Station & close to lots of pubs & restaurants. We didn't have breakfast as it was very expensive, we went to another hotel nearby, a chain known for their walk-in all you can eat breakfast.

Xmas shopping with the wife

Stopped here to go Xmas shopping with the wife, opted for a balcony room which was very nice. Sliding balcony doors are sound proof which is superb. Entrance and bar area have a very warm and welcoming feeling. Breakfast was made to order too
