Loved our stay at the Crab & Boar, a quintessential English country inn. The staff is friendly, easygoing, quite helpful and even went above and beyond for us. Dave and Tammy were fantastic. The food was quite good. Prices seem reasonable. Drive to close by Newbury is a short distance. Very nice and handy Speedy Queen launderette in town. Quiet but for the occasional car whizzing by. Being from the USA and driving for the first time in the UK, the location on Wantage Road and pulling in and out was a little scary. Getting an available Uber was challenging, but the local cab service was very quick. Other than the tricky road visibility, no complaints.
