Great value in Flushing Chinatown. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Area is very busy but felt safe. Parking felt a little questionable but the attendants were great. The breakfast was pretty limited but workable.

great value for money

as someone who likes to travel but only works part time I’m always looking to travel on a budget and this place was perfect for that. very reasonably priced compared to staying in other areas of New York but still well connected with the 7 line subway just a short walk from the hotel. plenty of shops, restaurants, bars etc. a lot of them are Chinese but there’s also more traditional American chains on the Main Street in Flushing plus a shopping centre 5 minutes walk which includes a Target. hotel room was spacious and cleaned well each day (don’t forget to tip housekeeping). includes a microwave too so if you don’t want to spend a lot of money eating out you can save some pennies there. breakfast is included too and although there’s not a massive amount of choice you can have as much as you want and it sets you up nicely for the day especially when New York involves a lot of walking so you need the energy. I’m hoping to return to New York one day, would definitely stay here again

Unique property in the heart of Flushing Chinatown. Lots of nice restaurants around but didn’t get a chance to sample any of them. Maybe next time.

First time I stayed at John Hotel and totally enjoyed it. Their Front Desk Staff is very efficient and thorough. I totally enjoyed my stay here because you can tell they really prepare the room for their guest. Nothing is missing and everything is in working order! Everything is strategically placed and organized. Elevators don't have long waits. The only thing they can improve on is soundproofing the rooms. You do hear your next door neighbors or those in the hallway talking. And it's a bit further away from the center of town but still walkable. Also, the breakfast can be improved like the other Asian Hotels that serve fried rice and hot buns. :) But really among the best Hotels I stayed at in the area. Kudos! I wish all Hotels will be as well maintained and served as this one.

Great Value! Perfect for an overnight. Parking was just down the street and gave us in & out privileges. The hotel rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. As other travelers have mentioned, the walls are paper thin. Maybe use some earbuds & ASMR or a noise machine. Great water pressure in the shower. Light breakfast, Including good coffee, is available in a quite spacious dining room. All of the staff we met we friendly and helpful. There’s a mall within the same block as the hotel (entrance next door) with tons of amazing food options. The subway was about a 10 min walk from the hotel.

It is a modern hotel It is much quieter than some of the other hotels in the area. The room did not smell like cigarette smoke which many hotels in the area do even though they claim their non-smoking
