The staff was friendly and the room was clean. It’s a basic hotel, nothing too fancy. The breakfast was good and it was quiet. It was perfect for our short stay.

Overnight stay for daughter's Ring Day at Texas State. The hotel looked old and repairs that were made looked low quality. The shower water never got hot, just very low warm. Also, you could not the water to completely shut off, there was a small steady stream. The TV streaming was lagging it was powered by Roku device.

Lobby looks awesome. the rest of motel looks and feels like a third world country. I am USN for 27 years and have stayed all over the world and this place takes first prize for deception. Smell inside the hall way 2nd floor was so terrible there is no way to describe, worse smell in room. When reported to front desk, reported to me that "we have a lot of permanent residents that cook in their rooms." Outlets inoperable. Shower leaks onto the floor, and wall is rotten. Door lock was loose and was not safe and secure. Window curtain doesn't make since, had to stuff it on ledge so didnt keep me awake. Light switch locations do not make since. Closet door, knob pomade and looks like a child made it, not level, drags floor. Stayed 1 night and left, reported again to front desk, and they said "thank you for visiting, have a blessed day".

There was no hot water for showers, I told front desk after the first night and they said they would send maintenance. Came back to room, no hot water again and they said it was pipe issues with most rooms and they couldn’t do anything about it. I asked for a one hour extension for check out and they said they would have to charge me. The bathroom also had paint and chunks of drywall peeling and coming out of the wall. Do not stay here.

The check in/out was uneventful. The room looked okay in general, except it had several floor tiles loose. The bathroom was very neglected as it had mold in the shower where the panels joined. The shower curtain was way too short in such a way it didn’t stayed tucked in, so water was heavily dripping out in a way that it got wet all the bathroom floor and the water ran all the way to the hall getting some of our stuff wet.
