Narrowsburg’s Favorite Riverfront Home!
Welcome to River’s Rest! Nestled in a quiet cove right on the Delaware River, this reimagined 1800’s farmhouse will be the star attraction of your getaway. Just a short walk to the buzzing chic town of Narrowsburg, River’s Rest is the perfect home base.
This artfully designed home has the ideal trifecta for relaxation and rejuvenation: a prime location on the river, walking distance to the heart of town, and impressive features that create your perfect stay.
The kitchen, living and dining room are all seamlessly connected and ideal for entertaining. The Parlor, sumptuous and inviting, feels like a private retreat. Enjoy crafty cocktails from the bar, listen to vintage records on the turntable or kick back and watch a movie on the large screen TV.
The back of the house, anchored by a large wood stove under a lofted ceiling, is cozy, warm and embracing in the winter. In summer, the ample wall-to-wall windows on three sides showcase views to the river and foliage. From here, French doors open onto a large dining and lounging deck with stairs heading down to the fire pit and water.
Let’s take a moment to discuss the kitchen. It’s fully equipped to serve everyone, and all cuisine needs—from those who just need a good cup of coffee to chefs looking to create a decadent meal. The main level is also served by a full bathroom, with a claw foot tub, and easy access from three points to the outside.
COFFEE SET-UP • 14 cup drip coffee maker • Electric kettle • Coffee grinder • Frother / aerator (hand held)
Upstairs, the windowed landing has a beautifully set desk for those who need a place to work. This floor offers three distinctly unique bedrooms - Thistle, Songbird and Fox - each designed with nods to the surrounding nature.
The Thistle bedroom faces East where you can see glorious sunrises from the king size bed. The Songbird and Fox bedrooms each have queen size beds and look out onto the river. Each room is fully appointed, well-lit and offers the most supremely comfortable beds, dressed in Brooklinen.
The bathroom on this level is fully stocked with the fluffiest towels and organic soaps, shampoos and lotions.
Outside is just as special as the inside. Attached via a deck is a fully screened-in porch with dining table, a nearby BBQ grill, and peaceful river views. Down on the lawn is a large fire pit situated to maximize the river views, all from under the shade of a giant centuries old tree. Walking around to the front of the home, you and your guests can lounge in rocking chairs on the covered porch—the perfect spot to meet and greet the neighbors.
A short walk will take you to all the bars, restaurants, and boutiques of Narrowsburg. Should you wish to venture further, many other restaurants, river spots and hikes are within 15 minutes.
We look forward to welcoming you to the River’s Rest – a perfect Catskills getaway.
Guests will have access to the property in its entirety.

PLEASE NOTE - Cancellation and Insurance: We encourage all our guests to purchase travel insurance, whether through the OTA when offered at the time of booking, or through a third party. We cannot make any exceptions to our cancellation policy.

Best decorated and outfitted Vrbo ever!! Lovely property. It was so nice to have sharp knives and decent cookware. Thank you! So many VRBO properties have cloudy plastic stemware, plastic plates etc but Rivers Rest was top shelf! They thought of everything to make this a very very inviting and comfortable stay. Thank you!

A River Haven
Our expectations were exceeded at this wonderful location. The river is low enough that we could walk across or sit down in the water to relax. The house is well equipped with soaps, lotions, shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of towels and comfortable beds. The kitchen met our needs. Not a great coffee maker. We loved the screened in porch with a dining table. The table on the deck needs replacing. And a walking proximity to the lovely town of Narrowsburg.

Another great stay at the river house
It was our 2nd time in the house, this time during summer, and again a great experience. We, 2 kids, parents and our Australian Shepherd enjoyed every minute in the house and outside. The house is very well maintained, has everything what we needed and was super clean. We enjoyed the river and hikes in the neighborhood, including dining and a nice local brewery. We will come back, for sure. Thanks for having us.

Peace and quiet in a modern cottage by the river
We loved this house - peaceful and tranquil, right on the water, but only a 2-minute drive from town. The house itself has everything we needed - great space that was great for watching a movie or eating dinner while watching the river flow.

Summer trip to Narrowsburg
We have been spending at least a long weekend in Narrowsburg on Delaware Drive for many years now. We lost the rental we had booked for the last number of years when the owner moved back in. What a break to have this place land in our search results! We loved our stay here. The place was perfect for us. Clean, which I put high value on, with a rustic beauty. Plenty of amenities and a number of interesting interior spaces. The river location - a must for us - is superb, with views from the deck and even a small beach. We were even treated to the very interesting call of a screech owl Sunday night. Property managers Anna Li and team were helpful and responded immediately to any inquiries. We will be back.

Winter Wonderland
My family (husband, sons ages 17 & 12, and dog) and I can’t say enough great things about this gem of a house! From the beautiful setting on the river to the decor of the home - every aspect is perfect! It was truly difficult to leave this idyllic spot - a five minute drive to the Main Street of Narrowsburg - if you actually do leave the house don’t miss dining at the Heron, the Laundrette & get a coffee at the Tusten Cup! The house is fully stocked with everything one could possibly need from the kitchen supplies, to soaps and shampoos, to extremely comfy beds - just pack your toothbrushes and BOOK THIS HOUSE NOW! We have rented from VRBO previously and this is one of our top houses thus far!
Thank you for sharing your charming home with us - we will return!!!!! 🦅❄️🐶🏡🌅🍽️❄️🏔️🏞️🛷

Lovely Getaway
Together with our dog we spend a very relaxing long Thanksgiving weekend in the house. Communication with Anna and team was perfect and the house very welcoming when we arrived on Thanksgiving. The house and the area has everything you need to stay either in the house e.g in front of the fireplace or doing great hikes close by. The kitchen is well equipped, the view from the living room to the river is great and the beds are very comfortable. Everything was in very good condition and very clean. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would definitely come back in summer to enjoy the river. Thanks for having us !!

Fantastic July vacation at River’s Rest
We spent a delightful week at River’s Rest, enjoying the river and all the special touches the house offered. On cooler mornings we enjoyed breakfast on the deck overlooking the river, afternoons relaxing in cushioned comfort under the sun umbrella and playing afternoon and evening games on the screened porch. The kitchen is a chef’s delight with everything needed for cooking and baking including a Kitchen Aid mixer. The two informal seating areas provided our group of five adults options for both quiet conversation and watching World Cup soccer and the British Open. The upstairs A/C units kept the bedrooms cool for sleeping and the window unit in the dining area provided cool comfort during a hot and steamy summer week. The team was super responsive to our questions during the reservation process and on arrival.
We chose River’s Rest for its water access and the accommodations it offered for our adult family and two dogs and it was perfect for connecting as a family and also individual down time. It is a serene and beautiful setting with gentle grade access to the river for swimming and kayaking. There are two expansive grassy lawns for lawn games and relaxing outdoors.
Narrowsburg offers excellent dining options with outdoor seating and river views including the Launderette and The Heron. The Pump House in Cochecton is a fun place for live music and food – dogs are welcome! We are avid fans of farmers markets and visited the Narrows

A peaceful getaway with flair!
We loved our stay and hope to come again. It seemed every detail - from outdoor accommodations to supplies & furnishings in the home - was thought of. The whole place is calming & adorable, and the location on the river was so serene. Very easy access for fly fishing and launching small watercraft (kayak, SUP, etc). And being able to walk to the town in 15 minutes was a bonus we didn't expect! I can't say enough positive things - grateful for this experience!
