Disppointing...

This is not a hotel. It is a single family home run by a management company. The good: House is spacious, nicely decorated. It's next to a lake with water fowl! Nice. Neighborhood is pretty and well-located. The bad: House is advertised as a 3-bedroom. It's only a 2-bdrm. There is a sofa bed in the family room, but that doesn't qualify as a 3rd bdrm. Kitchen is not as well apportioned as others. The UGLY: There was a leak in the kitchen ceiling, and black mold is beginning to show. House has a pool and jacuzzi. We paid extra to heat it ($ 40 / day). The heat was supposed to be turned on the before we arrived, set to 85 pool / 100 spa. It wasn't. Management had not told maintenance the temperature to set the heat to; maintenance did not check the breaker, which had tripped. After maintenance came to reset the breaker, they forgot to set the temperature. All in all, we were there for 4 nights, and could only use the pool the morning we were scheduled to check out. Management and maintenance displayed a complete lack of communication and coordination. Maintenance displayed a lack of care and attention to detail. I would not rent from this outfit again (NFVH). The last thing people should know is that the price on hotels.com is deceiving: initially, it comes up as ~ $ 180 / night, but when you make the reservation, the management fee is disclosed. The price on hotels.com should include the management fee.
