It is a nice hotel, but recently discovered they downgraded from 4 to 3 stars. So the amenities I enjoyed about this hotel were taken away. Sadly, will not be returning to it. It’s not the most practical hotel unless you’re just driving through or going to the concert arena nearby.

The hotel is located in an indusyrial area and a car is critical. The restsurant serves buffet brwakfadt, but not lunch or dinner. I booked it for the spa which was ok. I wouldn't call it a spa at all. Rooms were nice and comfortable. No refrigerator in the room was a pain as didn't have access to water, milk etc. Staff were attentive & helpful.

Lovely breakfast, staff very friendly, bed comfortable. Slight downside was location for things to do in an evening without a good walk or drive although good if staying to visit as good access to business park.

Wonderful experience at Le Colisée Hotel & Spa

Le Colisée Hotel & Spa in St-Herblain, France near Nantes was a wonderful hotel and we had a fabulous experience. The people working at the hotel were very friendly, helpful, passionate about their jobs and they were very fun to be around. The hotel itself is quite modern, extremely clean, organized and managed very well. The continental breakfast was delicious and expansive. The bar had a fantastic selection of fine French wines and European beers. There is a beautiful outdoor patio and a nice lounge and meeting rooms for guests. The rooms are large with a nice European bath. The room comes equipped with WiFi, TV (French and BBC), air conditioning, refrigerator, a safe and interesting, artistic lighting throughout the room. There is concierge services and the bar is open 24/7. Le Colisée is close to the Autobahn and quite easy to get to from Nantes, Saint Nazaire and Normandie Beaches. We stayed in all sorts of places while traveling through France. Apartments and hotels in Paris, Chateaus in the country and dusty, dirty dungeons in the cities that claim it is 'Old World Charm'. My son and I traveled from Paris to St-Herblain to attend an open outdoor festival in Clisson and it was perfect! One of the best hotels we stayed in while we traveled throughout France this summer 2017!

Stopover hotel stay

A perfect hotel for a stopover on route South. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff welcoming. An excellent restaurant is located next door to the hotel. The room was very comfortable and free soft drinks available in the mini bar.Hotel is located in the middle of an industrial estate so location is not ideal if looking to be based in a town. For a stopover however it is ideal as it is close to the motorway. A good buffet breakfast also in hotel.
