This so called “Resort” doesn’t qualify for any Stars! Well below standard, even for a budget motel .. I’ve stayed in better budget motels. We had a sauna and then went to use the shower adjacent to the sauna & the shower recess floor was covered in human faeces. I advised the guy at reception who came to view it, then proceeded to get the hose, hosed it and that was it, DONE ✅ No hot water, no disinfectant, didn’t close the shower / toilet off - remained open for other guests using the sauna, spa and pool to use. Went back to check again if it was closed off, NO, it remained open. Went to reception to speak about the health concerns and request to check out BUT alas the reception all closed up. We also had a red / ginger hair on our bath towel (we’re both white blond) - the whole so called resort of far from any being worthy of any stars. The venue/street signage for the venue does not state RESORT rather THE CUBANA - HEMMINGSWAY BAR & GRILL. Very underwhelming to say the least…

Reception closed up Sunday afternoon re WHS procedures for bio hazard of human faeces in shower just hosed off - no hot water or disinfectant products used. Facility remained open for other guests to step on and shower in.

Loved the room and outdoor area. The restaurant wasn't really good because the aircon was not working and could not eat in there as it was way too hot.

When we arrived at what we believed was a resort we were a little bit disappointed because it was a motel not a resort. We then went to our room which had very strange interior decorating and then spiders started coming out of the woodwork so I had to go to Woolworths and buy bug spray and tried to exterminate the room. The bed was comfortable. The sheets were clean and the pillows were fine.

We were coming after reception hours so we were told to pick up the keys from the locker box. We booked family room for 4 people (they knew we had young kids), the booking clearly stated this room does Not allow dogs, otherwise i would not book it because of the young kids. The hotel allocated the room for us on the ground level with dog bowl inside with the strong dog urine smell just outside the door where you suppose to sit on the chairs and relax. This hotel is nothing like the pictures. The rooms are very run down and not clean. For the little time we spend there, our feet were black. Skirtings full of dust, pubic hairs and dead insects in the bathroom, cutlery box full of dust and crumbs. We were not comfortable staying in this room and were coming from Sunshine coast to Sydney and needed a clean stop over for the night. We contacted the manager of hotel Steve Gerreyn, he tried to assure us this room is not dog friendly and only for families until i sent him the photos of dog bowl in the room. We asked him to give us a different room but he said he doesn't have any available and offered refund because we couldn't stay in this not clean room. So we had no choice but to drive to Sydney with 2 little kids at night time. Its over a week now and we still did not get refund and now Steve ignores our phone calls and message. Please do not book your stay there .

We were told they'd call back if found, without getting any details about name/phone number/room number/description of items/date of stay and rushed off the call. After asking to provide clarification they called back and said nothing was found. The location is convenient and quiet.
