The Pelican Inn is so relaxing...We are already looking forward to a return vist. The staff was exceptional! The meals that Corrine and Eunice prepared were incredibly delicious and created from the heart. The beach is amazing as well as the strategically placed hammocks for an afternoon nap!!!
We had a great stay at the Pelican Inn! We enjoyed having beach and marsh access and only wish we had brought our kayaks to use in the marsh. The quality and variety of meals provided for breakfast and dinner were very good. We also enjoyed the environment where we were able to meet our fellow guests in a casual setting. It is no wonder that so many guests were repeat customers.
Second time to the Pelican Inn, brought our little kids this time, which wasnt as relaxing for us but the owners were great. Dining is always excellent and such a unique experience. Hope to be back next year
Comfortable, clean, great food, friendly staff may be found at many places. No exception here. Corrine and her staff are superb. Few places offer the setting found on Pawleys . No commercial establishments. Coffee and beachfront sunrise are 20 yards away, sunset with wine and cheese on the creek dock just 50 yards out the back door.
Our recent stay at the incredibly charming Pelican Inn absolutely surpassed our expectations. Corinne has done a fabulous job with the charming 'shabby chic' decor of this historic c.1850s home, and our room was just lovely. Meals are served family style and you will feel as though you just stepped into an issue of Southern Living with the wonderful home cooking, lovely tablecloths and fresh cut flowers on every table. The beach is also lovely and feels almost private. Our only suggestion would be to update some of the plumbing fixtures (shower head and faucet were sorely in need of replacement and there was a bucket under the bathroom sink to catch leaking water from the U joint).
My husband and I had a beautiful stay - the inn was delightful. Loved all the hammocks and the food was AMAZING. Loved Corrine and Bruce - the owners. The best part was the almost private beach. We will be back!
Stay here every year with the family. Corinnes hospitality is amazing and the food is great. The beach is basically deserted most days. Its close to Myrtle Beach if you need the bustle but Murrells Inlet is closer and provides a lot of the water sports and finishing opportunities on a smaller scale. There is no finer spot.
Loved the Pelican Inn, the food was amazing!! The only down side was the mattress, not very comfy!! Other then that we loved it will be back!!! The food was amazing!!!
Our stay from 8/4 thru 8/11 was wonderful.....Normally one might say :exceeded our expectations but this being our 5th straight summer at the Pelican...I will say that our expectations were met.....After one's first stay ---you get accustomed to perfection....Perfection is difficult to improve upon much less exceed...The Pelican maintains perfection in the above categories (and more) summer after summer....The unrelated church service on the Marsh down the street at 10 AM is special and should not be missed...This summer we arrived ten minutes early and got the last four seats.
wonderful inn friendly warm and a great beach trip
We have been staying at the pelican for several years, it is a great place to stay, we are a couple. Many families stay here and the warmth and friendliness of the owners and the gust make for a very enjoyable vacation. I highly recommend this inn. the food is great ! the pies are perfect! A real South Carolina beach vacation spot .

The Pelican Inn is one of the most special B&B establishments in the country: oceanfront on a beautiful uncrowded beach, southern gourmet dining (b'fast and lunch only) and gracious service from wonderful and talented hosts, Corinne and Bruce. You can't beat life like this - beach casual (barefoot and tee shirts if you like), child friendly, yet private enough if you want a couples only experience. It's obvious the owners love their property and continue reinvesting in its excellence.
We look forward to our return to this special island and very special inn. Ed Burke
This place is like something from out of a movie. The rooms are adorable, the location is spectacular and the food is amazing. It's like going back in time. We also loved the owners who are super friendly and helpful. We will be back.
I have stayed at the Pelican Inn many times since my study sessions during college in the mid-1970's. The inn is special and affords a relaxing communal atmosphere with great food. I brought my son to play golf an relax a bit and he was very glad to have experienced the fellowship.
Fantastic Bed and Breakfast on Pawleys island. The food for both breakfast and lunch was excellent every day. Our only regret is that we probably should have stayed for the whole week rather than 3 nights.
