Cozy Lakefront Cottage

Newly renovated, bright, open & airy living and dining room over looking the lake. Spacious bedrooms with 3 queen beds, 2 twins beds & a futon. A large deck for entertaining, an indoor & outdoor fireplace and a beautiful brand new dock right on moon river. The cottage is just 12 minutes off the 400 & within minutes to the grocery store, don’s bakery, beer store, liquor store, the kee, farmers markets, hiking trails, snowmobile trails & more.

There is a propane BBQ to grill your favourites & the cottage is equipped with a smart TV & Wifi. There is a brand new barrel Sauna for use all year round!

You will have access to the entire cottage. It is situated between two neighbours. Please do not go on their property or pass through their driveway. Please stick to the parking spots provided in the manual. Please be respectful with noise & there are no parties allowed. Thank you in advance!

In the cooler months, enjoy the fall foliage or snow covered trees from the cottage, enjoy the hiking, ice skating and snowmobile trails in the area, challenge your friends or family to a board game, curl up beside the fireplace and watch your favourite shows and movies.The cottage is fully winterized with baseboard heaters as well as an indoor fireplace.

For winter access - the cottage is located on a main road that is cleared by the city. The driveway is ploughed & sanded by a private company whenever there is a large snowfall. Please be mindful of driving & weather conditions.

The only thing affected the ratings, There’s no bed sheet, duvet covers, pillow case No hair dryer , so you will have to bring your own And there is only one bathroom. The host is helpful and nice, however, it is definitely a first time experience that a cottage did not provided bed sheets. Otherwise, good view and cozy.

Lovely place for a special getaway
Fell in love with this cottage from the moment we arrived. The setting is beautiful. The cottage itself is lovely and well maintained. It was comfortable and welcoming. Bianca was a wonderful host. Throughout the entire process she was available and helpful. Bianca was a pleasure to work with. We hated to leave. We look forward to returning again soon.

Perfect for our stay!
Friends and I were visiting from the U.S. to see a show at the Kee. This was a perfect spot to stay as it was right on Moon River and we could still walk to the venue and main street with shops and restaurants. Only thing I would note is that there are no linens included (bedsheets, towels, etc) and it is not disclosed until after booking. This wasn't a huge issue as we were all able to bring them, but a heads up in the listing would have been helpful. Bianca was super responsive answering our questions and she provides informative and thorough information about staying at the cottage. I would absolutely stay again!

Great Mini Family Vacation
We stayed for 4 nights, and the property is clean and cute. The waterfront is fantastic, and we spent a lot of time on the brand new dock. The lookout deck and campfire areas were put to good use also. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful Location That Offers Everything For A Summer Vacation
Beautiful location & convenient for everything that you want to do whether with a group or family or by yourself. Fishing, swimming, boating, close to Town of Bala and Port Carling for shopping and plenty of touristy things to see and restaurants. Park close by for kids to play. Rooms spacious, kitchen clean but no microwave but large fridge and stove. Bathroom large. Beautiful patio overlooking the lake and taking in all that serenity and beauty. Night time use of fire pit added to our stay. Note not handicap friendly. Would go back again for another visit.

Incredible Summer Vacation In Bala!!
We had been searching for quite some time to find the perfect gettaway this summer when we stumbled accross this beautiful cottage in Bala. The photos looked great and the distance from Toronto was super close. Whenever you book a vacation it's tough to just go by the photos and the description, however everything was as accurate as the listing. We stayed from the 28th of July to the 2nd of August and from the moment we arrived we knew we had picked a great spot. There was ample parking for our 4 cars and we quickly met both neighbours as soon as we had arrived. Although the neighbouring cottages we're super close both were super nice and great to chat with. We unpacked our stuff and headed down to the dock, which is where we spent a good portion of our time during our stay. Bianca had just installed a brand new dock and it was the perfect size for our 6 guests. Every morning we would make breakast and head down to bask in the sun from about 11 am to 4 pm. Overall the layout is great as there are plenty of bedrooms for multiple guests. We also made great use of the BBQ and kitchen, cooking up marvelous feasts everyday. The property also has great, fast wifi, which helped when I had to do a few work items, so I was very thankful for that. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and we are super greatful to have found this hidden gem in Bala! Highly recommended!
