I'll start by saying this: the location is great, and the people at the front desk are lovely — and that’s where the high review ends. The room was like a magic eye picture; the longer you looked, the worse it got. At first glance it seemed fine for a budget motel, but once we settled in, every flaw started jumping out.
Room was dirty. Carpet not vacuumed, tiles smeared, bathroom not properly cleaned.
Shower was filthy and honestly dangerous. The bath/shower jets had an intake strong enough to suck in long hair. Tie it up or risk it.
More power points than you can poke a fork at, but all in the wrong places — above the sink, beside the bathroom door, everywhere except where you actually need them.
TV had no remote. Looked everywhere. Gone. Of the two Google accounts signed in, I’m betting the Michael family pinched it. Front desk tried to help, but the spare remote didn’t work.
Dirty linen is unforgivable. The only spare blanket had what looked like a poo stain. Someone (probably the Michael family) wiped their arse on it and the motel didn’t wash it.
Pillows were basically couch cushions; the throw pillow was somehow the best option.
It was cheap for school holidays, sure, but cheap shouldn’t mean dirty, unsafe, or stained. Great staff, great location — terrible room. I wouldn’t stay again.
