Don't go there.

Following a pleasant check in, our room was small uninteresting and dirty. After complaining we were give a slightly better room. but again the level of cleanliness was appalling. As it was late we unfortunately had to stay the night, but could not wait to leave early the next morning.

I was charmed

I loved this hotel. Large, comfortable room, fine restaurant, friendly helpful staff, great location in a charming, interesting and historic town somewhat off the beaten track. I would absolutely go back again!

Double room was small with bedside table only on one side. Lighting was poor. Plastic sheeting on mattress.Shower room floor and walls not completely clean. Plus points: big windows with attractive view over pretty town. Staff pleasant and welcoming. Check in fast and efficient.

Good room, rubbish WiFi

Comfortable room apart from plastic matress protector which rustled every time we turned over in bed. WiFi did not work at all and none of the staff could get it working on my phone. Very good food in the hotel restaurant but expensive. Montmorillon seems like a nice town. Unfortunately we didn't get to see much of it due to train problems caused by SNCF strike. Hotel is a 20 minute walk from station.

Pleasant but shabby hotel

Hotel staff lovely but room was very basic. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and narrow for a double. I didnt get much sleep. Noisy airconditioner and couldnt open window as traffic noisy also. Hall carpets torn. This hotel needs an upgrade. Staff are all friendly, professional and kind though - they really make the place.

Excellent resaturant, average room.

It was a one night stopover. The reception was welcoming and friendly.The room was not so good. The decor was not to our taste but that is a personal view only.There was only one bedside light and the rest of the lighting was very dim. The pillows did not have protectors at all and were heavily sweat stained. The sheets and pillowcases were all clean, but what was underneath? The room was clean other than that. We could not find the remote for the TV. If there was one we missed it. The view from the window was lovely over the town. The bathroom was good with a walk in shower and room to put your washbag.The loo was slightly separated by a dividing wall which is also good. We ate in the hotel and that was the highlight. For 25 euros the meal was fantastic, with lots of amuse bouches as well as the 3 course meal. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was of the region and beautifully cooked. The 25 euro menu offered 2 choices at each course,we each had a different choice and covered all bases. Every dish was well cooked and interesting. We were so glad we ate at the hotel. We had to leave early the following morning so did not eat breakfast.Overall without the restaurant I would not be so positive, but dinner made our stay a memorable one.

Tellement déçue !!

Chambre vieillotte et pas propre. Le petit déjeuner servi avant l heure était inexistant : pas de sucre, de confiture, ni de produits frais alors que la personne passait devant nous plusieurs fois avec les produits sans rien nous proposer. Nous avons eu droit a du pain rassit déposer dans 1 corbeille la veille au soir .

Encaissement on sait faire mais pas envoyer de fac

Qu'on a le devoir d'appeler l'hotel car on ne sejournera pas finalement dans cet hotel, je comprend. Qu'on nous facture quand même malgré qu'on doit etre à l'hôpital plutot qu'a l'hôtel, je comprend. Que la facture il n'y a pas de mal à l'encaisser pour ne nous etre non présenté, je comprend. Mais par contre ne pas etre capable d'envoyer une p.... de facture et devoirs sans cesse demandé alors quon a dautre chose a faire.... ca je comprend rien... peut être a l'hôpital aussi???

leur site web annonce des chambres élégantes mais en réalité, rien de tout ça : aucune déco, peinture passée avec tâches et éclats, malgré un double vitrage on entend le bruit de l'extraction hotte cuisine, le débit de la douche est insuffisant pour se rincer, pas de voilage à la fenêtre alors qu'il y a un vis-à-vis ni volet et le rideau occultant est trop petit et laisse passer la lumière du jour ! Pour le reste, c'est très calme et la chambre est grande

Une belle surprise

Un logis de France confortable, bien entretenu et une équipe chaleureuse. Charme désuet de l'ancien qui contraste avec les hôtels des grandes chaînes. Brasserie très sympa, avec un très bon rapport qualité prix. J'y retournerai
