Went to see Dave Matthews Band at Shoreline. Only a 10 minute drive from hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Family run hotel. Parking only for hotel guests (very important to me). Would definitely stay here again.

Our room was perfect – spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. It’s clear that the owner has put great care into every aspect of the guest experience. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, from check-in to check-out. A special mention goes to Mr. Dilip Patel, the owner, who greeted us with a bright smile at breakfast and made us feel truly at home. He even gave a small gift—a doll—to our daughter, which made her morning extra special. Throughout breakfast, he kindly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, always with genuine warmth and care. It’s easy to see how much this place means to him, and that personal touch makes all the difference. Only stayed for one night but it was excellent. Complimentary room upgrade caught us off guard, and the breakfast was amazing. Staff was very welcoming, attentive, and gave our toddler so much attention (he loves it). Will be back, highly recommended!

We stayed at Hotel Strata from July 18 to July 20 for a family visit, and our experience exceeded every expectation. This boutique hotel is a true hidden gem in Mountain View — combining luxury, comfort, and warm hospitality in a way that’s rare to find. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine kindness by the staff, who made sure every part of our stay was personalized and seamless. The rooms were spotless, quiet, and beautifully designed with modern touches and thoughtful details that made us feel completely at home. The amenities were a highlight. The breakfast buffet was outstanding — fresh, well-stocked, and with a variety of high-quality options that far surpass the standard continental fare. It was the perfect way to start each day. We also loved having a Nespresso machine and a great selection of teas right in the room, adding a touch of comfort and convenience that we truly appreciated. Another detail that stood out was the luxurious Elemis shampoo and conditioner provided in the bathroom. Hospitality at Strata is beyond all expectations! The rooms well appointed, and every need is anticipated and fulfilled before we could’ve thought to ask. Very clean, very generous breakfast and 24hr beverage and snacks, these people go the extra mile and then some. We would recommend the Strata to anyone who needs a place to stay on the area.

Very disappointed. Sketchy surroundings with run down apartments, closed restaurant and busy road. It did not feel safe. The room smelled old and musty. The fake “fireplace” made a constant electric sound. We just couldn’t stay there. We left even though we paid a non refundable charge and paid to stay somewhere else.

We booked this location as a last minute overnight vacation for our small family and it was wonderful. The hotel staff were so kind and accommodating to parents, they even had stuffed animals ready for my toddlers, and the best parent and kid friendly breakfast buffet. The interior of the rooms were exceptional, they did not cut costs during the furnishing, the room and bathroom had heated flooring, a bidet in the bathroom and the tub had multiple a shower heads (a relaxing rainfall shower head), complimentary items everywhere like toiletries, slippers and waters for guests, yoga mat and blocks in the room for use, air purifier, working gas fireplace, more outlet for electronics than you would ever need, motion night lights under the nightstands, and the owners stopped by during breakfast to check on the stay. There was a nice enclosed area to sit at by building 2 and play at the ping pong table and really nice privacy glass separating the building and doors at building 1 from the parking lot noise. I frequently visit family across the country and this was by far was a hidden gem and new favorite. My only complaint is that the owners only have one location so far, but we will definitely be a repeat visitor..
